Have Irvine and Lennar Ignored Hazardous Nuclear Waste at El Toro?

The Chair for the former Marine base Technical Subcommittee in 2000, went public with details about nuclear contamination at El Toro shortly before his death the same year.

(IRVINE, Calif.) - old El Toro MCAS gas station We have written several articles and produced video reports on the environmental damage on the grounds of the now-closed El Toro Marine Corps Air Station. Most of the stories revolved around contamination from TCE, trichloroethelyne, an aircraft degreaser sold to the U.S. government by Dow Chemical. As it turns out, the deadly cancer-causing and liver killing TCE may just be the tip of the iceberg. El Toro is also contaminated by nuclear waste.

One problem with El Toro, is that most of the people involved in the decisions to subject Marines and their families and civilian workers to dirty water, are dead. a former named Marine Robert O'Dowd, who also writes for Salem-News.com, has discovered that the doctor who wrote the most comprehensive article written about the problems with radioactive waste at this old Marine base, died of a heart attack the same year he wrote it.

Dead men tell no tales, but those who publish their research go on helping people long after they are gone. That is the case with the late Dr. Chuck Bennett, former Chair of the Technical Subcommittee, on the Restoration Advisory Board for the Former MCAS at El Toro.

Group Seeks to Ban Toxic Chemicals from Baby Bottles

While the FDA might say the chemical is not proven to be dangerous, a growing number of recent studies are showing that BPA may increase the risk of breast and prostate cancer, and developmental problems in the womb and early childhood. Urge Congress to ban BPA now.

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Toxic baby bottle A growing number of scientists are seriously questioning the safety of Bisphenol-A (BPA), a chemical found in many hard plastic containers, including baby bottles and water bottles. Yet the FDA reported recently that there is an "adequate margin of safety" in what they consider to be typical exposure to this chemical.

But do we really want to wait for proven danger, when enough studies are raising concerns for the longterm health of our children? Urge Congress to ban the use of BPA in baby bottles and children's products.

The chemical manufacturers who produce more than 6 billion pounds of bisphenol each year in the U.S are certainly applauding the FDA's recent report.

The Appeal of Mystery

The Conservative base of the Republican Party holds true to Christian givens passed down through centuries, and dutifully accepts as Gospel what it is told by Priests or Evangelists without question. Democrats tend more toward the Age of Enlightenment that began in the Middle Age but came to fruition near its end.

(PASO ROBLES, Calif.) - Christianity I love a mystery as much as anyone does; they are weird and wonderful, but I also enjoy the thrill of discovering that what I once believed to be mysterious truly isn't. For there are mysteries we believe to be, only because we have been told they are.

There was a time when it was dangerous to question religion , and the punishment was so severe it was safer to accept our givens [that which by habit and tradition has passed from one generation to the next as undeniable truth] than to be exposed to the consequence of non-belief.

It is now safer for individuals to distinguish between the opinion of others and what each independently determines to be true, but not entirely.

HE LIVED ALL ALONE,
IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE MADE OF
PLASTER AND STONE.

I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY
