Two Bodies Found in Willamette River Positively Identified

The bodies are from separate fatal boating incidents.

(LAKE OSWEGO, Ore.) - Divers in Clackamas County were called out to a report of two bodies floating in the Willamette River at Lake Oswego around 8:30 Tuesday morning.

The first body found yesterday in the river off of Old River Road in Lake Oswego has been positively identified by the Clackamas County Medical Examiners Office as being that of 53-year old Michael David Kennedy.

It seems fair to point out the fact that these problems had all been in existence right under the government's nose, and to remember that this is a response to a problem that only the media brought forward, as the families of thousands of vets took no action to improve conditions prior to the exposure prior to that.

Newspapers Report Syrian Purchase of Russian Jet Fighters

The MiG-31 is the latest development of the MiG-25, the world's fastest jet fighter.

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Defense Industry Daily is reporting Russian newspaper claims that Russia is delivering 5 MiG-31E Foxhound aircraft to Syria under a deal that was reportedly negotiated in autumn 2006.

"...a lot of MiG-29M/M2 jets was sold to Syria as well. They are being sold abroad for the first time and are similar in their technical specifications to the MiG-35 model Russia is now offering India."

F-15 Pilot from Oregon Guard Identified

The pilot in the F-15 aviation mishap has been identified as Maj. Gregory D. Young of St Helens, Oregon.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - The pilot who died over the weekend when his F-15 jet fighter crashed during training exercises has been identified as 34-year old Greg Young.

Search and rescue crews have been conducting an intense search of the area near Cannon Beach.

Oregon Guard F-15 Pilot`s Body Recovered After Crash

The pilot was flying a single seat F-15.

(CANNON BEACH, Ore.) - The U.S. Coast Guard has recovered the remains of the pilot from the F-15 jet fighter that crashed in the ocean approximately 35 nautical miles west of Cannon Beach.

Next of kin notifications are being made. The accident is currently under investigation by an interim Air Force Safety Board.

Suspect Takes $1,000 in Wood Village Bank Robbery

Police say the man matches the description of a suspect in two other recent robberies in the Portland area.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Police say a white male suspect robbed the Washington Mutual Bank in the Wood Village Fred Meyer store today just before noon, making off with ten crisp hundred dollar bills.

Lt. Jason Gates with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office says the suspect handed a note to the teller indicating he wanted all the money she had, but no weapons were observed or implied.

Police to Carry Special Olympics Flame of Hope through Salem

Salem Police will hand the torch to runners from the Marion County Sheriff's Office, who in turn will pass it to state police.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Fourteen members of the Salem Police Department will participate in the Oregon Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run that is passing through Salem, Wednesday, June 27th.

The Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Flame of Hope will pass through Salem in the hands of local law enforcement officers as it makes its way to Hillsboro for the June 29th opening of the Special Olympics Summer Games.
