16th Annual Global Cannabis March & Rally Saturday in Portland

Representative Lew Frederick To Give Keynote Speech

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - On Saturday, May 2, nearly 300 cities worldwide, including Portland, will participate in the 16th annual Global Cannabis March. Portland participants will gather in Pioneer Courthouse Square for a rally that begins at 11:00am, with a scheduled cannabis freedom march beginning at 4pm through downtown Portland, accompanied by a police escort.

Musicians Mack & Dub and the Smokin' Section, The Sindicate, Mad Dabber, Bad Habitat and Pass Margo have joined the lineup for the rally as well as many guest speakers and non-profit organization booths.

Fatal Longboard Accident Claims WSHS Senior

(SALEM, Ore.) - The police investigation determined that 18-year old Joshua Robertson was riding down Eagle Crest Road NW, traveling southbound. He lost control on a corner and fell backwards, striking his head. Joshua was not wearing a helmet or other protective equipment.

The West Salem HS Senior was transported to the Salem Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased around 2:10 p.m.

Missing Airplane Found Crashed on Mt Tom in Linn County

The crash site is in heavily wooded, rough terrain.

(LINN COUNTY, Ore.) - Since learning of a missing airplane from the Creswell Airport on Wednesday, Search and Rescue members have been searching the Mt. Tom area due to the planes last known radar contact.

Today, at about 1 p.m. a helicopter from the Oregon Army National Guard spotted a crashed plane. Upon relaying their coordinates to Linn County Search and Rescue ground support, SAR members found the airplane. One deceased body was found in the wreckage.

Police Involved Shooting Puts Mission Lakes WalMart on Lockdown (UPDATE)

A man is barricaded in a motor home, shooting at police.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem Police have the roads blocked leading to Turner Road where WalMart is under a complete lockdown at this time. Employees are inside, and no one is leaving.

Reports indicate that there is an active shooting incident under way near the entrance of Cascades Gateway Park, in WalMart's parking lot. A SWAT team has been activated and may have arrived by this time.

Fatal Head On Crash at Oregon`s Sand Lake

Sand Lake is a very popular destination and continues to grow, making it ever more dangerous.

(CLOVERDALE, Ore.) - The Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a fatal head on crash between two sandrail recreational vehicles at the top of the first bowl at Sand Lake.

There were reportedly no injuries in the first vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle was found deceased on scene, and the front passenger was transported by Life Guard Helicopter to OHSU with life threating injuries.
