WHAT PRICE TREASON?

Treason: The betraying of one’s country...
Oxford English Dictionary
(LONDON) -
I am not in the character assassination business. Nor am I prone to use emotive words and headlines to score a point, but when one’s country and the future of generations of Palestinians are at stake -- one should not be bashful.
I shall lay before you the facts, not the myriad of betrayals of our people and just cause for the last 100 years, but merely the last 20 years or so that you can see and judge for yourselves whether the accusation of treason that I am throwing at the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah is justified.

Retired San Jose Police Chief Leaves Behind a Remarkable Legacy of Public Service and Activism
(MONTEREY, Calif.) -
McNamara spoke out publicly against the drug war long before the issue had come to the political forefront. He was a speaker and advisory board member for Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP), a group of law enforcement officials opposed to the war on drugs.
“When you’re telling cops that they’re soldiers in a Drug War, you’re destroying the whole concept of the citizen peace officer, a peace officer whose fundamental duty is to protect life and be a community servant,” said McNamara at a presentation for the International Conference on Drug Policy Reform in 1995.

Marianne Skolek Salem-News.com Investigative Reporter
They will not ignore you if they know you are not going away.
(MYRTLE BEACH, SC) -
On September 27 and 28 I will be speaking at the FED UP Rally in Washington, DC calling attention to the national health epidemic - prescription opioids/heroin and the mounting death toll.
It is anticipated there will be a huge outpouring of families from all over the country who are "fed up" with the FDA picking the pockets of pharma by approving more and more opioids as a pay to play. For the past 12 years I have been exposing the prescription opioid/heroin Holocaust fueled by profiteers without consideration of the loss of life. My involvement in this journey for justice was as a result of the death of my daughter, Jill in 2002 to prescribed OxyContin.

334 organisations have signed the statement against the corporate capture of the UN Climate Summit
(LONDON) -
When we, as human beings, get a fever, we immediately get worried and take action. After all, we know that if our body temperature rises to 1.5ºC, let alone 2ºC [3.6 ºF] above the normal average, there can be severe damage, while an increase of 4-6ºC [7.2-10.8 ºF] or more can cause a comatose situation and even death.

Ending Cannabigotry is vital if patients are to be respected.
(AUMSVILLE, Ore.) -
Serving the needs of patients is Amy Zimmerman's ongoing goal. She cares for the sick and ill and dying, providing them with medicine that they prefer, and that may be their key to a longer life, or at least one with more quality.
The Aumsville city council is attempting to ban all cultivation, dispensaries and even the use of medical marijuana. An ordinance proposal hearing is taking place Thursday at 6:30pm in Aumsville, the public is invited to join the meeting, and pro-cannabis supporters are expected to show up en masse. What happens in this tiny town may have more of an impact statewide than anyone expected.
