4-Year Old Lincoln City Girl Dies After Being Diagnosed with E. Coli

The girl's friend is still fighting for his life. Health officials are trying to discover the cause of the infection.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Serena Profitt Little Serena Profitt died Monday night at Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland from an infection caused by a strain of E. coli. Serena was four years old.

Her five-year-old friend, Brad Sutton, from Washington is undergoing treatment Mary Bridge Children's Hospital in Tacoma, Wash. where he was listed in critical condition early Tuesday evening.

Yet, not only did that war fail to fulfill any of our dreams and aspirations for the Arabs, especially us, the Palestinians it was and is and will continue to be an unmitigated disaster for generations to come.

Canby Fire and Police Hosting Annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony

To remember those that gave it all.

(CANBY, Ore.) - Canby 911 memorial Canby Fire & Police will be having our annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony this Thursday, September 11, at Station 62, 221 S Pine, Canby OR. It will start at 8:00 am and should conclude approximately one hour later.

This year is New York/WTC remembrance, and we will be rededicating the Roddy Morris sculpture and it's redesigned name plaques. Our theme will be, "Personal reflections on 9/11, what the day means to me". This year we are also having our personnel share their thoughts on 9/11 from the perspective of a Firefighter/Police Officer.

Serious Injury Hit & Run Crash Involving Motorcycle and ATV - Highway 99E North of Brooks

OSP is seeking information to help locate the involved vehicle and operator.

(SALEM, Ore.) - hit and run Oregon State Police is continuing the investigation into Sunday night's serious injury hit & run crash that occurred on Highway 99E near Waconda Road NE about three miles north of Brooks. The crash seriously injured a motorcyclist and OSP is looking for information to help locate a reported involved ATV and its operator.

On September 7, 2014 at approximately 8:41 p.m., a motorcycle operated by 48-year old Keith Miller, from Woodburn, was traveling on Highway 99E near milepost 39 when it collided with an ATV that was crossing the highway.

Thousands of attendees enjoyed the myriad of creations at the State Fair.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Oregon state beekeepers booth Winners of the 2014 Creative and Artistic competitions hosted by the Oregon State Fair have been posted online. Hundreds of Oregonians from throughout the state contributed artwork, baked goods, sewing and other hobbies to be displayed at this year's fair, which concluded on Labor Day.

Prior to fair, expert judges determined first-, second- and third-place winners for each of the 13 creative departments that comprise fine arts, photography and home arts.

Remote Control Jet Causes Forest Grove Brush Fire

Expect the unexpected, during this volatile fire season.

(FOREST GROVE, Ore.) - RC plane fire A fire was caused by a Freewing SU-35 remote control jet outside of Forest Grove Saturday. It hailed from a nearby model air park. When crews arrived, there was an active fire in the grass and brush, quickly spreading. Firefighters were able to stop the flames from spreading further.

While the flames were underway, a power pole caught on fire. This created a serious hazard of the risk of power lines dropping onto firefighters.
