(MCMINNVILLE) -
One person died and another received non-life threatening injuries in a two-vehicle head-on crash Friday evening on Highway 18 near the west McMinnville bypass.
This is the second fatal crash investigated by Oregon State Police Friday and the first that falls within the official Fourth of July holiday reporting period. The name of the victim is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
OSP troopers say that at approximately 7:10 PM, a 1991 Mazda Miata driven by an adult male was eastbound on Highway 18 near milepost 44.5 when, for an unknown reason, it crossed into the westbound lane.

(ROSEBURG) -
A citizen's call on a cell phone to report a dangerous driver led to a DUII arrest east of Roseburg Friday, it was the fourth this weekend, which technically hadn't started yet.
Friday at about 10:50 AM, a citizen called the local OSP office on a cellphone to say they were behind a vehicle that was driving in an erratic manner.
Based on the information provided by the citizen, Trooper Teresa Bloom of the OSP Roseburg Area Command spotted the vehicle about 15 minutes later on Highway 138E near milepost 4 and stopped it. The contact led to the driver's arrest for DUII.

OSU Federal is holding a grand opening celebration of it`s first Keizer Branch.
The grand opening will be on Thursday, July 6th, with refreshments and prizes. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 4:30 PM.
The branch is located inside the Safeway store on the corner of River Road and Chemawa Road in Keizer. Hours are M-F 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturdays 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
