Oregon Man Files to Run for President in 2016

If elected, Baker said he will work hard for all 1,461 days of his term as President.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Ed Baker for President Ed Baker of Portland, Oregon has filed paperwork with the Federal Elections Commission to run for President of the United States in the 2016 election.

Baker said he isn't a member of any political party, secret society, or the CIA. He said he will work with everyone and that he would like to see America again at it's best. He added that he will be in touch with, represent, and work for the people of America. He said he knows what it's like to go without, as he was homeless for 18-months.

The weekend includes hot-air balloon launches at dawn every day; a balloon “night glow” on Friday; more than 70 Northwest artists with their crafts for show and sale; food; a wine and microbrew garden; live music; Family Zone; classic car show; free Young Eagles flights for kids; and aircraft displays, and other activities at the airport.

Missouri National Guard Brought into Ferguson to Try and Restore Peace

Federal Autopsy Ordered in Death of Michael Brown

President Barack Obama has been getting regular briefings while on vacation in Martha's Vineyard, including from senior adviser Valerie Jarrett.

(FERGUSON, Missouri) - Michael Brown Death U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder ordered a federal autopsy of a teenager shot dead by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, seeking to assure the family and community there will be a thorough investigation into a death that has sparked days of racially charged protests.

Eighteen-year-old Michael Brown, who was black, was shot by white police officer Darren Wilson on Aug. 9. The police department in the St. Louis suburb has come under strong criticism for both the death of an unarmed man and its handling of the aftermath.

Albany Police Officer Fires Weapon in Wal-Mart Parking Lot

(ALBANY, Ore. ) - Albany Oregon Police The Linn County Sheriff's Office and the Linn County District Attorney's Office are investigating an officer involved shooting in the parking lot of an Albany, Oregon Walmart.

Albany police say Saturday night just before midnight, two officers contacted an occupant of a vehicle in the parking lot of the Walmart store located at 1330 SE Goldfish Farm Road.

Surfers ingest 10 times more ocean water than swimmers, about 170 milliliters a day, or half a can of soda, researchers said.

(NEWPORT, Ore. ) - Oregon Surfers Health warnings issued by state officials when beaches have high levels of bacteria do not keep many surfers out of the water, according to a new study by Oregon State University.

Nearly three in 10 surfers admit they knowingly surf during health advisories – nearly the same amount that chooses not to surf during periods of elevated bacteria.

Portland Police Asking for Public`s Help Locating Missing Man

It is possible the missing man may appear confused or disorientated.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Charles Edward Johnson The Milwaukie Police Department, in coordination with Portland Police, is asking the public for help in locating 70-year-old Charles Edward Johnson, a Portland resident, who was last seen at Providence Milwaukie Hospital on August 2, at 10:20 a.m.

Portland police say that Johnson left the hospital, and has not returned to his southeast Portland residence.
