These operations are done several times throughout the year by Salem Police and the OLCC

(Salem) - On Monday, the Salem Police Department Community Response Team, conducted an OLCC Minor Decoy Operation throughout the city of Salem. Minor Decoy Operations are set up to be a deterrent for businesses who may possibly sell alcohol to minors and be an educational opportunity for businesses who do sell to minors as well as a congratulatory opportunity for businesses who check ID's and refuse the sell to minors.

School Boundary Changes Proposed For West Salem Elementary Students

(Salem) - An upcoming community forum will discuss proposed elementary school attendance area boundary changes needed to address crowding and continuing growth from new development in West Salem.

(Woodburn) - Explosive technicians from Oregon State Police and the Oregon National Guard safely removed a live artillery projectile from the backyard of a Woodburn residence Thursday. The projectile was determined to be live by the homeowner's nephew who just completed explosive ordinance disposal training in preparation for deployment to Iraq.

Keizer Fire and Police Holding Child Safety Clinic on Saturday

(Keizer) - The Keizer Fire District along with the Keizer Police Department will be holding a FREE child safety clinic on Saturday.

Keizer Fire District spokesman Jim Trett says the clinics are designed to educate parents on the proper installation on child safety seats.
