U.S. Gas Prices Remain High, But Starting Downward Slide

Oregon remains in the top-5 of highest average gas prices in the country.

(WASHINGTON, D.C. ) - US GAS PRICES The national average price of gas has fallen for ten straight days, but remains the highest price for this calendar date since 2008.

In the Salem area the average price for regular unleaded gasoline rose one cent as of Monday to $3.98. Eugene and Medford remain over $4.00 a gallon as of Monday.

(LONDON) - Ms Fahima Hashim I am William Nicholas Gomes, Human rights activist and freelance journalist.

I am informed by Frontline defenders that on 24 June 2014, the Ministry of Justice cancelled the registration license of human rights organisation the Salmmah Women's Resource Centre, and initiated the immediate liquidation of the organisation, leading to its closure on the same day.

It is reported that the decision is in response to the work of the organisation's director, human rights defender Ms Fahima Hashim.

4 Killed on Oregon Roads During Fourth of July Holiday Weekend

OSP troopers and fish & wildlife troopers arrested 25 people during the holiday period wanted on outstanding arrest warrants.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Oregon State Police DUI Preliminary information indicates four people died in three separate traffic crashes in Oregon during the 78-hour Fourth of July holiday period between 6:00 p.m., July 3, and 11:59 p.m., July 6.

OSP troopers reported 50 DUII arrests statewide during this year's holiday period. Last year, troopers reported 60 DUII arrests.

Three Israeli Suspects Admit to Killing 16-Year-Old Palestinian Boy

According to Palestinian Attorney General Muhammad Abd al-Ghani Uweili, who was quoted by Ma'an News Agency citing a preliminary autopsy report, the teenager was burned alive.

(JERUSALEM) - 16-year-old Palestinian Mohammed Abu Khdeir Three out of the six Israeli suspects in the murder of 16-year-old Palestinian Mohammed Abu Khdeir have confessed to the crime, police said Monday.

The teen's body was found in the Jerusalem Forest on Wednesday. The Israel Police had arrested six suspects over his death, it was revealed on Sunday after a gag order was partially lifted.

Molalla Man Dead Following Shootout with SWAT Team

Ore. Hwy 213 remains closed at this time from S. Vick Rd north to S. Barnards Rd.

(MOLALLA, Ore. ) - Clackamas County SWAT team The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate a shooting the occurred Monday morning involving one suspect and the county's SWAT team.

Sunday night at 10:08 p.m. deputies responded to a 911 call of a domestic disturbance in the 30000 block of S. Hwy 213, an unincorporated area of the county outside of Molalla, Ore.

The victim was able to flee the scene with the couple's children and meet with deputies.
