Same Sex Marriages in Oregon Will Continue

Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum said last winter that she would not defend the state’s ban on same-sex marriage.

Oregon Wolf OR7 Has First Litter of Pups

It is likely there are more pups as wolf litters typically number four to six pups.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Wolf in Oregon Wolf OR7 and a mate have produced offspring in southwest Oregon’s Cascade Mountains, wildlife biologists confirmed this week.

In early May, biologists suspected that OR7, originally from northeast Oregon, had a mate in the Rogue River - Siskiyou National Forest when remote cameras captured several images of what appeared to be a black female wolf in the same area.

Corvallis High Student Diagnosed With Meningococcal Disease

Meningococcal is an uncommon disease caused by bacteria present in the throat or nasal passages of about 10 percent of the general population.

(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) - meningococcal disease A Corvallis High School student is being treated at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center for diagnosed meningococcal disease.

The Benton County Health Department is working with medical providers, Corvallis School District and family members to identify anyone who may have had enough close exposure to require preventive antibiotic treatment.

Police: Jury Scam Hits Marion County

The caller has in the past identified themselves as a deputy or representative of the court and may seem professional and knowledgeable, police said.

(WOODBURN, Ore. ) - Police Police agencies throughout the mid-Willamette Valley says there has been a sharp rise in the number of complaints involving a jury duty scam.

Police in Woodburn say a caller will contact the victim and tell them they missed jury duty and a warrant is being issued for their arrest.

Manhunt for Armed Suspect in Salem Continues

Police ask the public that if you know the location or see the suspect to call 911.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Diamond Damien Gipson Police in Salem are still searching for a man that they considered to be armed and dangerous. A woman and child also involved in the incident are fine.

Marion County Sheriff's Deputies were called Tuesday morning to a domestic disturbance call in the 4700 block of Lancaster Drive NE. After speaking with the victim and her child probable cause was developed to arrest the male suspect.

Two Brothers Sought for Salem Armed Robbery

Anyone with information concerning their whereabouts should call 911.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Doug Gore, Bryan Gore Two brothers, Bryan Gore and Douglas Gore, are wanted in connection with an armed robbery which occurred in Salem on May 28th. Both brothers are from the Grande Ronde area.

Early in the morning of May 28th, a 41-year-old Albany man was lured to a Salem motel with the promise of sex from a woman he had met online.
