(SALEM) - Sri Lanka is launching a desperate tactic to try to squeeze out from under the long arm of international law for its horrendous, countless crimes of Genocide against the minority Tamil population.

The latest line from the administration of President Majinda Rajapakse is a claim that most of the 47 member countries of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) are receiving pressure to lend support to a tough US-sponsored resolution calling for an international probe into the above cited human abuses during the country's war with Tamil Tigers.

(MOLALLA) - On Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. Janice Lynn Ernest was reported missing from her Molalla, Oregon home.

The 62 year old woman was last seen Thursday, March 13, 2014 at her residence. Although foul play is not suspected at this time, Ernest suffers from bipolar disorder and is believed to be off of her medication. Both she and her vehicle are missing.

(SALEM) - On Monday, March 17, 2014, the Marion County Sheriff's Office received a complaint that two of its Search and Rescue volunteers had engaged in an inappropriate sexual relationship with a 17-year-old volunteer.

Upon receipt of the complaint, the Sheriff's Office asked the Keizer Police Department to conduct an investigation of the allegations.

(SILVERDALE, Wash.) - The U.S. Navy is extending the public comment period for the Northwest Training and Testing (NWTT) Draft Environmental Impact Statement/Overseas Environmental Impact Statement (EIS/OEIS) until April 15, 2014, to allow the public more time to submit comments.

The Navy prepared the Draft EIS/OEIS to evaluate the potential environmental impacts associated with military readiness training and testing activities conducted primarily within existing range complexes, operating areas and testing ranges in the NWTT Study Area.
