The moral is do not just throw an unwanted cat or dog out to fend for themselves. There are shelters for unwanted animals in most cities.

(SAN FRANCISCO) - Cat named Gubi First a little background before telling this nice story about a lost cat. We have two three-year old feral indoor cats, one a male named Noche -- because he's black -- and Amber a small tortortoiseshell female.

Both are now socialized. Both have been neutered. When cats are neutered, the tip of their right ear is clipped.

Washington Man Arrested After Fatal Traffic Crash Leads to Death of 7 Yr Old Girl, Critical Injuries to Mother

(PORTLAND) - Jesus Moras Nava A 29-year old Washington man is in custody following Wednesday night's fatal traffic crash in Hermiston that resulted in the death of a 7-year old girl and critical injuries to her mother. Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation.

According to Sergeant Seth Cooney, on March 19, 2014 at approximately 8:21 p.m., a 2010 Kia Soul driven by Leslie Roquez, age 29, from Irrigon, Oregon, was northbound on Highway 395 stopped in the left lane at the intersection with Punkin Center Road when it was struck from behind by a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee...

The order from the California Department of Pesticide Regulation targets products sold to the general public in retail outlets and limits super-toxic rodenticide use beyond 50 feet of manmade structures.

(SACRAMENTO) - San Joaquin kit fox California has approved a statewide ban on direct-to-consumer sale of some of the most dangerous rat poisons but loopholes still leave many wildlife species at risk.

The ban approved Tuesday, which will go into effect July 1, prohibits the sale of certain products by d-CON, the only second-generation anticoagulant rodenticide sold directly to the general public.

(SALEM OR) - "So far so good, but we’ve got a long way to go,” state officials say about the on-going efforts to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species and keeping new ones from entering the state.

Even key legislators such as Representative Caddy McKeown see the progress being made and see that more needs to be done to protect our waterways.

That’s why the Marine Board and Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) work in tandem to administer the statewide Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Prevention Program, where the Marine Board administers the financial aspects and ODFW implements statewide inspection stations.
