Marion County Fire District #1 On Scene of Natural Gas Leak

Roads are currently closed in the area, 12 homes have been evacuated and NW Natural Gas is attempting to locate the leak.

(SALEM) - Gas leak The Marion County Fire District #1 is currently on scene of a Natural Gas Leak in the 3800 Block of 48th Ave NE and Ricks Ln NE in Salem.

Fire crews were summoned by NW Natural Gas who were in the area investigating a possible gas leak.

New Yorker: Attorney General Eric Holder Says He`ll Step Down This Year

As recently as Nov. 19, Holder, the first African-American attorney general in U.S. history, told CBS News that he didn't have "any plans" to step down.

(WASHINGTON, DC) - A.G. Eric Holder The embattled U.S. Attorney General, Eric Holder, has stated his intention to step down some time this year. His words were published by the New Yorker.

In a feature story for the magazine's Feb. 17 issue (sub. req.), Holder told Jeffrey Toobin that he will leave his post in 2014, though he also said that he planned to remain as attorney general "well into" the year.

(JERUSALEM Ma'an) - Palestinian home is demolished with Israeli bulldozer Israeli forces demolished a Palestinian home in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabal al-Mukabbir on Monday, the owner told Ma'an.

Israeli military and police officers blockaded the al-Jisr neighbor early Monday to allow bulldozers to move in and destroy the apartment building, owner Muhammad Hasan Mousa Jaafira said.

Keizer Fire Crews Team Up to Fight Difficult Fire In Snow Conditions

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but is not considered suspicious.

(KEIZER) - Fire in Keizer, Oregon Keizer Firefighters were dispatched to a house fire, en route they were advised that it was "fully involved". Despite snowy roads and an engine that was chained up, the first engine arrived in less than five minutes from the time of dispatch.

At the time of the fire there were two teen males inside the residence, due to a lack of a working smoke detector they were unaware of a fast moving fire in their basement.

Journalist`s Death a Sign of Sri Lanka`s Brutalisation?
