Iran: A Human Rights Agenda for New President

William Gomes asks the new leader of Iran to implement changes for the good of all people.

(YORK, UK) - Dr. Hassan Rouhani Iran’s incoming government should take concrete steps to improve the country’s dreadful human rights record, Human Rights Watch said in a letter to President-elect Hassan Rouhani.

The letter identified key reform areas, ranging from freeing political prisoners to cooperating with UN rights bodies, that Rouhani and his new administration should take on during their next four years in office.

They're trying to help employees get the help they need to treat cancer and other illnesses they developed as a result of exposure to radiation.

(YORK, UK) - UN Convention on Disabilities Human Rights Ambassador William Nicholas Gomes Has sent a letter to US senators, urging them to mark the 23rd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act by ratifying the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).

The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities is an international human rights instrument of the United Nations intended to protect the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities.
