BURMA: Rohingya Face Ongoing Humanitarian Crisis

(RANGOON) - Displaced people in one section of Ah Nauk Ywe makeshift camp in Rakhine state Human Rights Watch (HRW) has accused the Myanmar government of restricting humanitarian aid and discriminating against Muslim Rohingyas in a new report.

HRW's Phil Robertson said, “Burmese [Myanmar] government restrictions on aid to Rohingya Muslims are creating a humanitarian crisis that will become a disaster when the rainy season arrives.”

166 men remain imprisoned at Guantanamo. 86 have been cleared for release.

(WASHINGTON DC) - Hunger strike over Gitmo On Sunday, March 24 human rights activists throughout the United States began a seven day fast and series of actions in solidarity with the men currently on hunger strike at the U.S. prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Dozens of men, according to detainee lawyers, are entering their seventh week of a hunger strike to protest their indefinite detention and a new wave of alleged abuses.
