In April, a judge in the U.S. District Court for the District of Hawaii dismissed the lawsuit that is now on appeal, finding that Hawaii’s gun laws restricting public gun carrying are consistent with the Second Amendment.

FBI Raids Homes of Seattle and Portland Occupy Activists

A US newspaper has revealed that the FBI has been raiding the houses of anti-Wall Street protesters in Oregon and Washington in what the agency describes an “ongoing violent crime investigation.”

(TEHRAN) - The Oregonian newspaper reported that heavily-armed domestic terrorism units of the FBI have been raiding the homes of activists in Seattle and Olympia, Washington and Portland, Oregon over the last month.

The report said that at least six homes have been raided in the two states since July 10.

Sweden Freezes Rwanda Aid After Rebel Backing

Governments have suspended aid to Rwanda since a UN report in June accused Rwandan officials of backing M23.

(WASHINGTON DC) - Sweden announced Monday that it was provisionally suspending aid to Rwanda pending clarification of reports that the central African nation has backed rebels in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

"We have chosen to hold off with aid to shed light on what is going on Congo and how they (the Rwandan authorities) are involved," Cooperation Minister Gunilla Carlsson told public radio SR.
