(SALEM) - Palestinians protest in the West Bank city of Ramallah in solidarity with the five Palestinian prisoners who are still on hunger strike Palestinian prisoners are held in custody in large numbers, without charges or evidence by Israeli occupation forces.

Three of these prisoners are engaging in a ongoing hunger strike in protest of ongoing confinement that direct conflicts with international law.

Rudwan has been detained since July 3. He has been subject to torture and abuse during his detention and he was threatened repeatedly to be assassinated.

(CORVALLIS, OR) - Police shooting near Indepencence, Oregon 11 August 2012 Police are continuing their investigation into Saturday night's shooting of a Benton County Sheriff's Office sergeant, a Salem Police Department corporal, and an adult male.

The shooting followed an attempt to elude law enforcement about 2 miles north of Adair Park just south of the Benton/Polk County line.

The operator of the Jet-Ski (Salinas, Alejandro) was pulling his brother (Salinas, Enrique) behind a Honda Jet-Ski when they made a wide turn to head back towards Wallace Marine Park.
