UPDATE: Train Derailment in Downtown Corvallis; Streets Now Clear

Crews are now working to repair the tracks.

(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) - A Portland & Western Railroad fright train derailed in downtown Corvallis Wednesday just before 11:30 AM.

Several downtown streets in Corvallis were blocked by the train derailment, which occurred, on Sixth Street according to the Corvallis Fire Department.

Crews are repairing the tracks, and there could be minor delays at the following streets and intersections:

  • The intersection of Sixth Street and Adams Ave.
  • The intersection of Sixth Street and Washington Ave.
  • Seventh Street at Western Boulevard.

There were no injures reported in the incident.
