Marion County Fire District Hosts Open House and Egg Hunt this Saturday in Clear Lake

(Salem, Oregon) - Marion County Fire District #1 Clear Lake Station 6 is hosting an Open House and Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday.

The Clear Lake Station Open House will take place from 12:00 - 3:00 pm at Station 6 located at 8005 Wheatland Rd N. This is a free event open to the public and includes a tour of the fire station, and tours of the fire trucks and ambulance. Children's activities will be offered and refreshments will be provided.

The Easter Egg Hunt will take place across the street from the Clear Lake fire station at Centennial School beginning at 10:00 am April 23rd.

The Clear Lake Station has been serving the communities of Clear Lake and Keizer for over 70 years. Originally protecting Clear Lake was the Brooks Rural Fire Protection District in the 1940's. In 1968, Brooks RFPD merged with Four Corners RFPD creating Marion County Fire District No. 1. In 1982, MCFD#1 continued serving the newly incorporated City of Keizer.

Marion County Fire District No. 1 currently provides service from eight fire stations: Clear Lake Station 6 (8005 Wheatland Rd N), Brooks Station 5 (4960 Brooklake Rd. NE), Labish Center Station 7 (7214 Labish Center Rd NE), Chemeketa College Station 8 (4000 Lancaster Dr. NE), Middle Grove Station 2 (3820 Cordon Rd NE), Pratum Station 3 (8885 Sunnyview Rd NE), Macleay Station 4 (2100 84th Ave SE), and Four Corners Station 1 (300 Cordon Rd NE).
