(HILLSBORO, Ore. ) - Most news reports about stolen vehicles are those that are currently driven by many American motorists these days. However, this one, should you see it, should stick out like a sore thumb.

Washington County Sheriff's Office Property Crime Detectives are asking for the public's help in locating a stolen 1931 Ford Model A, and the people responsible for it's theft.

On Monday, deputies began an investigation into the stolen Model A rumble-seat coupe from the 19400 Block of SW McCormick Hill Road in the community of Laurel, south of Hillsboro.

The owner told police that the car was parked in his driveway when it was stolen sometime in the early morning hours. It is not known whether the car was driven or towed from the residence.

Detectives have exhausted all investigative leads, and are now asking for the public's help to locate this very distinctive vehicle.

It is mostly in original condition with a light brown exterior color, and original black wheels and fenders.

If anyone has any information on the location of the vehicle or the ongoing criminal investigation, they are asked to call Washington County Sheriff's Office Detectives at 503-846-2500.
