Reverend Benny & Mister Sid's At Your Service #32Glen Bledsoe Salem-News.comThis week Reverend Benny sneaks us into the inner workings of a group of Young Republicans. Take note of this group's solution to all the world's problems.
(Salem) - President Obama understands what few in Washington understand. That reality television isn't really reality. That cable television reflects (mostly) right-wing politics. Our Man from Chicago flew to Indiana, a state bright red for decades until it voted for Obama in '08, to promote his stimulus package which conservatives tried to recast as a spending bill. Of course when George Bush squandered trillions of dollars the right never batted an eye, but called for all patriots to rally around the President during his time of crisis-of-the-moment. The right has repeated the myth of "government is the problem" long enough that no one listens to them any more. The GOP continues to cast reality in its own dark image unaware that it is alienating Americans in increasingly large numbers. Why in the world would they stand united as a party to vote against a jobs bill? Do they actually want their party numbers to drop to a level comparable to the Libertarians or Socialists? This week Reverend Benny sneaks us into the inner workings of a group of Young Republicans. Take note of this group's solution to all the world's problems.
