Anti-Islam 'Jawa Report' Gets Feelings Hurt by Salem-News ArticleTim King Salem-News.com
Site that compares Muslims to furry Star Wars creatures claims its attacks are not racist...
(SACRAMENTO, CA) - A Website apparently popular with the far right, 'My Pet Jawa' (mypetjawa.mu.nu) has a bruise on its cheek from one of our articles. They decided to lash out rather than just cover up the damage with more makeup. Seems they don't like being called 'racist' and so the site launched a diatribe attacking Salem-News.com, which they call "Salem-News Channel".
At first glance and by the name, I assumed the site was a man's pro-gay publication and it didn't make sense that they would have a beef with us, turns out the site's operator is instead suffering from a he-man complex. They went on, paragraph after paragraph, defending their obviously short-sighted goals.
Our writer Siraj Davis in Palestine called the group out for its one-sided anti-Islam slant. I agree with him completely. His article is about the shoddy and laughable (unless you are him) conviction of a young man named Ziyad Yaghi whose mother is fighting for his freedom. Yahgi is convicted under the NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) which sound-minded conservatives despise along with the rest of us. This is the Obama law that allows Americans to be detained without charges, it is some of the worst, most anti-American legislation ever passed in this country.
These thin-skinned Islamophobes are clearly against the U.S. President's healthcare plan, but apparently folks at mypetjawa.mu.nu get genuinely excited about NDAA convictions, in fact they need to get a room with that anti-U.S. legislation, I'm sure it would be a real orgy. And I thought Archie Bunker was just a TV character.
Our background is simple and undeniable, Salem-News.com is an eight year old news agency with 110 writers in 24 countries, most of whom are human-rights oriented reporters. Doctors, lawyers, activists, grandmothers, retired politicians, we have a nice array of sound-minded writers who are not afraid to call out injustice or racism or corruption, we are after all surrounded by it at all times.
We rally for those who need us the most... backing sane policy, we reveal human rights abuse around the world constantly. We don't take the side of the bully which is where all of the advertising money is, trust me. Muslim people, the target of mypetjawa.mu.nu, do some real bleeding as a result of this group and the henchmen it supports in the U.S. government. Justice and truth are clearly not their cup of tea, rather they seem to exist specifically to fill the minds of their already paranoid readers with fear and fantasy and lots and lots of denial, particularly of being racist. They are racist. Being against a religion is racist, ask the Jews.
We are often the first U.S. news agency to carry new items about the struggle of the Christians, against the Muslims, in Pakistan. Yet we cover the abuse of Muslims at the hands of Buddhists in Burma, and the ethnic cleansing of Hindus and Christians by Buddhists in Sri Lanka, we report the abuse of the Catholic Church and yet rally for the Catholics in far-flung places where they suffer, and we strongly support the brave peace activists and writers of Israel. My point is that we don't pick and choose, we look out for the needs of all people equally and we are doing the right thing.
This group insults our efforts to bring truth and clarity to the case of the young man Ziyad Yaghi. This publication which defines the term 'blog' - attempts to lay that title on Salem-News.com which doesn't even make sense to a layman. Our group has more than 26k published articles and we have broken major news over the years, many times from the world over, we have been present for firefights, our team members have been shot at, and one was murdered. I take public insults to our group very seriously and we are known for setting the record straight.
We cater to a peaceful audience for the most part, rather than a rabid one that exists to pour salt in the wounds of the people it politically attacks.
In terms of who is a 'good American', I have personally travelled to the Middle east twice, spending months with the U.S. Army and Marines, and Afghan and Iraqi armies, covering the Afghan and Iraq wars, so that I could report with genuine knowledge and background. I am not sure if Team Pet Java has undertaken any similar activities, in fact I strongly doubt it. I also sincerely doubt that they have 18 current and former U.S. Marines on their writer team as we do, and a lot of other veterans, many combat vets, who write from genuine experience. Two of our writers, Dr. Phil Leveque and Edsel Chromie, served in WWII.
But here is the catch, the United States has been wrong over and over again in its military ambitions, and the Americans killed over a million and a half Iraqi people on bad information alone, let alone the drones and all of the other attacks on civilians. From mass shootings, to attacks on wedding ceremonies, the U.S. has soiled its flag with the blood of innocent people and I don't give a damn what religion they are, because they are people.
The oppression hung around the neck of Muslim people for all of these years, and the endless support of apartheid Israel, has led to the animosity we yanks now face and you can hang a great deal of it on the two Bush Presidencies, lest we forget. The Java Pet team or whatever they are, are misinformed pompous defenders of their bad actions right or wrong, and that is no mark to be proud of.
So why would any group blindly back the U.S. government over such a controversial case? As it turns out, unsurprisingly, the 'jawa report' is an Israeli Zionist front. Their aim is to bring down one religion on behalf of another and that makes them just as flawed as the people they criticize, actually it makes them worse. Capitalists love an easy fight, they spit and cuss when cornered by people like myself. Groups like Salem-News.com, would slaughter them in a public forum or debate, because racism is something that can not be truly hidden.

At the center of all of this, Tim pays extremely close attention to the safety and welfare of journalists worldwide.
