windy image

(Salem) - PGE crews responded all night to power outages throughout the Salem area and beyond, due to high winds and stormy weather. At the height of the storm, about 6,000 customers were without power. Additional crews were called in to work overnight and the Customer Call Center was opened early to respond to calls.

By 7:00 AM, crews were successful in getting 1,000 more customers going, and by 11:00 AM, 300 customers remained affected, mostly in outlying areas including Dayton (49 customers affected), Salem (about 120 customers) and Mulino (50 customers). All customers are expected to have power by late this afternoon.
