VA Medical Mistreatment: Gross Betrayal of Veterans
Nobody is Responsible

The VA doctors have a proclivity for prescribing powerful, adverse-side effect drugs. Oxycontin is the worst example

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - On January 3, 2010 CBS aired a program about one million mistreated, disabled veterans having disability claims DELAYED, DENIED by a system that waits for them to DIE.

This is so perversely punitive and sick one would think the VA is part of the NAZI death camps. The results are often the same.

The CBS reporter showed a veteran's paper file which was a foot thick and reported that many are even thicker.

As a physician for PTSD veteran victims, I have seen some of these voluminous medical files. It appears that extreme paperwork is the main function of the caregivers rather than care itself. There have been many reports that these caregivers are told, "Don't make a diagnosis of PTSD: Call it Adjustment Disorder, pre-existing" before the veteran entered the service.

Whomever ordered this should go on a few missions as a Combat Infantryman, or Combat Medic. It will change their attitude.

According to the story there are 3,000,000 living disabled vets. The non veteran American citizens owe these wounded disabled vets.

Freedom is NOT free but why should the veterans be forced to pay this additional price for their service, putting them in this position?

We are told the disability claim forms are 23 pages long. What sadistic bunch of S O B's put this together and demand it from a disabled vet who frequently might not be able to do it.

According to Veterans for Common Sense[1], there have been 400,000 claims since 2003 and most have been on the delay/deny and hope they die backlog list for four years or more.

One of the worst features of this is that the veteran is required to PROVE where he got PTSD. That is simple, he started getting it the first day of basic training and it got worse from then on.

The ONLY persons who can really diagnose PTSD are those who went through it and endured the experience. That experience is much like that of a "galley slave" with someone shooting at one all the time.

After the VA misdiagnosis, the worst is yet to come. The VA doctors have a proclivity for prescribing powerful, adverse-side effect drugs. Oxycontin is the worst example and anti-psychotic drugs are just as bad or worse[2].

I have tried to expose this medical travesty for three years on Salem-News.com[3]. I have not received one email telling me that the VA treatment was successful. On the contrary, I have received dozens of emails stating how disgusted veterans are about their mistreatment.

In the meantime, 200,000 veterans are homeless or worse{4}. These are those who were protecting all of us.

DID ANYBODY SEE THE CBS PROGRAM?

CHEATED November 6, 2011 1:24 am (Pacific time)

On July 15th of 2011, I had a endoscope and colonoscopy done. I was completely sedated and had no problems with the nurses or the doctor, they were wonderful. They couldn't finish the colonoscopy because of my other medical problems, for which I wasn't completely cleared out. Unlike the second attempt at the colonoscopy which went very bad and what my complaint is about.

On 9/30/11(A different Doctor and nurses did this one) I went to have the colonoscopy done, they brought me back to the room there were Two female nurses making sexual innuendoes about what they were going to do to me. I cant remember all they said but it was disgusting, unprofessional and they kept laughing at me. One of the nurse's (ill call her nurse A), which brought me from the prep area to the test room was about 5' 8" with Brown hair in a pony tail, and she wore glasses, age early to mid 30's. She said, "You, might not walk after we get done with you". The other nurse (Ill call her nurse B) she was about 5' 5" with shoulder length gray and brown hair, age mid to late 50's, said to nurse A, "You shouldn't say things like that." and then laughed.

They kept saying I was allergic to Phenobarbital and some other drugs. I am NOT allergic to anything. I believe they were confused on who they were doing the colonoscopy on. The doctor (I think his name was Dr. Gavini, he was about 5' 6" black hair early 30's and looked like he was from India) came up to me and said that they couldn't do the colonoscopy because my blood was to thin. I said to the doctor that I have been off of comadin for 6 days and was put on Lovaniox so my blood shouldn't have been too thin. Then one nurse B spoke up and said she had given the wrong INR to the doctor. So she looked it up again and gave the doctor the correct INR. I should have left then.

Nurse B was supposed to give me medications to make me relax which she did NOT. unknown to me at the time she didn't remove the block on the IV that would allow the meds to get into my system. There was one nurse (ill call her nurse C) sitting on my left side she was poking me in the ribs and kept grabbing my feet. I kept saying ouch then she said with a smirk and smile "Am I hurting you." And I said yes which pissed them off even more. When the doctor started I told him I wasn't sedated at all and I was wide awake and to check and see if I got enough, he refused to listen to me. I believe he was in a hurry because it was his lunch time. The nurses (B and C) were holding me down, they rolled me on my stomach and shoved the probe up. I asked them to stop and they wouldn't. I was so ashamed embarrassed and angry. I was screaming in pain, I told them they were hurting me and I felt they were raping me and they laughed. I felt as I was being raped. Is this what I fought for my country to be treated this way by the people that are supposed to care. Also I am 100 % service connected vet. Please take care of this, I'm becoming afraid to go to the VA for anything any more.

I was so angry and in pain because of this I couldn't sleep for days. This experience was so traumatic, I am affected mentally and physically. I'm afraid to go back to the VA.

James Paterson February 1, 2011 10:18 am (Pacific time)

I have visited the VA hospital many times in the past. The most recent was last night in th VA ER in Oklahoma City. I was having lower rib and shoulder pain on my right side and wanted to find out why. I was taken in when the doctor asked me what was wrong I told him. He then spent no more than five min checking me out and said there is nothing wrong and said he would give me chest congestion medicine. I don't need pain meds as the VA gives that out like candy! So I told him I'm not in here for pain meds but id like to know why I've got this pain. At this point the ER nurse by the name of John Furgeson comes in and starts threatening me saying I'm arguing with the doctor. He also called the police in the hospital. Well I told the doctor I wanted the nurses name so I could report him. When the nurse came in with my discharge note, I asked him for his name. He then lied telling me Robert. I guess he didn't know I seen it on the form I signed. Then I asked for his last name and he said they don't give it out for security reasons ( lied again). I then went and got my medication and took some. I then found a chair to sit until it took effect. This was short lived as the police found me and I explained what I was doing and what had happened. The cop then lied and said that everyone in the ER uses a different first name. Then they told me I couldn't wait for the medicine to take effect but I should drive the 65 miles home on icey roads and in pain. By the way the meds have not worked at all and my pain is getting worse!

george o stadler January 3, 2011 2:35 pm (Pacific time)

I just got another horrer story from old pal gene harms of tulsa , ok about a black vet who got tossed out in the street, paralysed, no where to go, nor how to get there, towns people kept him going for a year, until he could get medical care.. what awful humbug this is..I think it is time to start a web site for the vets stories

jack howard December 16, 2010 3:17 pm (Pacific time)

I met a Veteran who went all the way to Federal Court, took him 9 1/2 years, the Judge granted him 100% disability, so the Veterans Administration overturned the Federal Court Judges Ruling, oh wow amazing

george o stadler December 10, 2010 3:31 pm (Pacific time)

Dec 10, 2010 I called the VA Hotline to see the status of my claim, I was told it is now in the hands of a "review board", so I inquired as to how long that might take, I was told once before a review board, these cases seldom take more than 10 more years... hooray for them !!

george o stadler November 1, 2010 12:36 pm (Pacific time)

wow, not only did the criminally insane government maniacs inject us with man made spirochetes that the japanese had invented and used on 3,000,000 chinese who died in 1939, we found out they would inject soldiers with pre serial numbers us and ra, the ra would get medical treatment and the us would not, to see what would happen, then they follow us US non treated all our lives to see the effects it had on our lives, those perverts love to see us suffer, now I know why Major Hosch and the colonel and major Baker were screaming at the Army to find my medical records, beginning in March 1957 and onward, they told me if they could not find them by the time I got out, in Sept 1957 that the VA would jack me the rest of my days, it happened....

richard October 28, 2010 5:36 am (Pacific time)

i think that rediculous delays in producing military records should be investigated and fines assessed to prompt more timely resolutions. i have been trying for 30+ years to be be made whole with my records, from andy jacobs, deputy director of vets aff.,american legion, and dave evans(congressman)i have been trying to understand what's been going on.....guess it's still above my pay grade.

george o stadler October 7, 2010 2:58 pm (Pacific time)

Latest on VA Claim they are giving me the grand tour run around, after 54 plus years of hiding my records, I called the VA hotline to seek the status of my claim, the VA JOKER said, "a claim like your never goes much over 10 years to be resolved" I am 74, they are going to stall until I die no doubt, scumbags

george o stadler October 7, 2010 2:43 pm (Pacific time)

What a horrer story, We are now learning many of us were injected with japanese cloned spirochetes, and then no medical care was given, to see what would happen, I swelled up for weeks, then went down with heart attack, thank heaven I was aboard the us general taylor, I woule not have gotten medical treatment if in the hands of the criminally insane army, they would have let me die, there are many others who also never knew what was going on, likely all dead now, after 55 years, even my family is amazed I am still alive, after all the illness I have suffered, and attacks of this disease, just goes to show you, we had a superior diet in the depths of the great depression, we who were born in 1936, I am now certain the mustard / onion / mouldy bread sandwiches made us strong, ha ha ha

george o stadler September 21, 2010 2:19 pm (Pacific time)

We are getting more information on those criminally insane maniacs at the VA, they were investigated and it was learned they get a bonus of some kind for tossing claims into the waste basket/shreders not hard to figure our now, why I never got any response for all the claims I filed starting in 1956 worse yet, only the AMVETS, who I went to first in January 2008, actually did anything about it, the rest of those so called "service organizations" are totally useless...including those many phoney County Vets Service Officers all across the USA... TRAGIC

george o stadler June 28, 2010 1:42 pm (Pacific time)

The VA Crazies are playing the appeal game now, move the claim from state to state and place to place, it went to Seattle from LA, in the interim we actually did find the records they have hidden for over 54 years and sent them a copy of one page that shows I was declared by 2 PE boards in Germany to be "UNFIT FOR FURTHER MILITARY SERVICE AND MUST BE SENT HOME FOR DISCHARGE, AND PENSION", after which all records vanished and have stayed hidden over 54 years, they classified them "SECRET" so we COULD NOT GET ACCESS, until they were recently declassified, we got 350 pages in one batch, 150 in another, now the VA sent my claim to "administrative review", who knows if and when we will hear from them again..... what a bunch of poo poo

Karen April 20, 2010 12:52 pm (Pacific time)

Thank you for bringing attention to much abuse that our Veterans are dealing with from the Veterans Hospital, Administration, and different facilities. No Veterans should be denied of any care and should receive the care in time without jumping through leaps and bounds. These people are getting a great income with red carpet benefits to carry out actions of harm. Not everyone is this way but many are. Veterans are dying and becoming sick by power trips, abuse, denials, delays, and mal practice. It is the not having the option to correct, prevent, and provide protection. Our Veterans have already paid. Why are those individuals getting paid a lot to do a favor of harm towards a Veteran for another person? Is this not a crime? Intentional harm needs to be corrected and held accountable! Our Veterans do not deserve any abuse, neglect, mistreatment, denials, and any harm carried out!!! Why our Veterans are being treated like this and having difficulties in receiving needs, service, and requested care? The Veterans facilities will not take the complaints serious when they are reported and will not make appropriate correction / changes even when we contact congress. We need to bring justice to those that carry out intentional harm to our Veterans. We need to protect our Veterans they protected US. Please help correct the abuse wrong doings, and injustices. Anyone that is jealous and envious of our Veterans which have carried out harm and not held accountability is hateful and a crime. Why are those getting paid to prevent our Veterans is receiving care, service, and benefits? Why are those getting paid to cause destruction, pain, suffering, and death in our Veterans’ lives? We forget just how it could be if it wasn’t for our Veterans. Everyone forgets! Thank you for helping to bring attention to many injustices. Please help protect and love our Veterans!

i was part of oif 1 and 3 and got out of the army in 2007. i have had no problems with the docs at the VA, its the admin people at the VBA thats the problem. They tend to think that its there benifits they are giving away.

george stadler January 25, 2010 4:21 am (Pacific time)

follow up, I lived in Molalla Or and Colton 1974 -1975, have relatives there, and acquaintances, etc. came to the desert to die easier, warmer

george stadler January 25, 2010 4:19 am (Pacific time)

54 years, the va has stalled me, saying they have no records Gary C Douglas, AMVETS, 2 years ago said, "I WILL GET YOUR RECORDS IN 30 DAYS", THIS MAN IS THE BEST THERE IS I CAN AFFIRM, by gosh, in only 2 years, we found many of the records they had in their files, and said they do not exist, I have been filing claims 54 years, no replies, they toss them in the waste basket, I had been injected with man made spirochetes and was refused medical treatment to "see what would happen", we now know, guinea pig, that is me... had a heart attack aboard troopship USNS GEN HARRY TAYLOR, enroute to Germany, was in hospitals there 3 months, came back a litter patient, records disappeared got this long run around, my thoughts, are, phuck this government, roll them all up in a ball and drop them in the marianna trench.... i dont need them, do you ????

Detoxer January 12, 2010 6:56 am (Pacific time)

This is an indictment of the VA and medical system. The idea that not treating the cause of injury but simply giving a pill to mask the pain is what these veterans deserve is just evil. Addicting them to legal heroin is not the answer. Steve http://novusdetox.com
