India Resident Rooma Mehra Featured on The WrighterSalem-News.com

(TUSTIN, CA) - This week, Rooma Mehra is featured on The Wrighter as the blog, created by Kobina Wright, continues to explore the work of contemporary artists and discuss the auctioning of Edvard Munch’s “The Scream.” The features will continue through the end of August 2012. When asked about her favorite purchase within the past 30 days, Mehra stated, “Day before yesterday, my boy Friday (he looks after my house and my doggie Caesar in my absence) made a painting of Lord Ganesha which I bought. Just love it. And loved the look of happiness on his face even more.”
The Wrighter’s tribute to “The Scream” was created in May, after the record breaking auction in New York, and features two artists a week. Mehra is the fifteenth featured artist and shares her images of some of her favorite work.
Wright, is a California native who earned her BA degree in Journalism from the California State University, Fullerton. She has created several art series, including, “Fractured,” “Cali Free,” “Eleven Twenty-Three Girl” and most recently, “Kobiphysics” which exhibited at the Huntington Beach Central Library in April 2012. Wright has written several books, including, “50” and “A Crime And A Simplification Of Something Sublime,” the latter includes several of her sketches. She is also an actress who has performed in theater productions, independent films and commercials.
