Ted Nugent, the Ranting Rocker, Takes his Racist Musical Show Across America

Nugent's Obama-hating, racist shtick pulled him out of a deep career dive.

(CHICAGO) - Ted Nugent is known as a ranting, rocker with extreme right-wing political views, in which he embeds Obama-bashing and racism into his musical act. Ted Nugent has taken his racist act on the road across America.

Last year in the thick of the 2012 presidential election, Ted Nugent the racist rocker, said in a cryptic pronouncement that “If Barack Obama becomes the next president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year."

Ted Nugent is neither dead nor in jail.

He is touring across America.

Since July 11, Ted Nugent has been touring the country with his raucous, racist, ranting rock and roll show. The tour will continue through Sept. 1 where he will play in Laughlin, Nevada, at the Edgewater Casino.

In fact, the very much alive and un-jailed Ted Nugent has a musical gig at Freedom Park in Chicago Ridge, Illinois on Saturday, July 27. The occasion is Chicago Ridge's annual festival, Ridgefest. For Ted Nugent this will be a return performance, according to the Southtown Star. Chicago Ridge Mayor Chuck Tokar, who has been in charge of RidgeFest since its inception in 1989 when he was village clerk, said of Ted Nugent and his act, "This is his third time here in six years. He likes it here. I guess it’s his kind of crowd. He packs the place."

Not everybody feels as welcoming as Mayor Chuck Taylor. On Thursday evening, Aug. 6, Ted Nugent will play at Toad’s Place, a popular New Haven venue. However, John Finegan, says we don't want him here. John Finegan, a resident of Weston, Conn., says he will not be there.

Ted Nugent recently said in a column that Trayvon Martin is a "dope smoking, racist gangsta wannabe." This coming from a "racist thug" rocker. He is someone who espouses hate and tries to celebrate the differences more so than things that unify and bring us together," said Finegan.

Some of the other comments that offended Finegan include: “George Zimmerman is thankfully and rightfully not facing any jail time for legally defending himself, but he is far from a free man.”

And: “While there is little he can do to protect himself from a civil rights charge by our gun-running, pro-New Black Panthers attorney general, Mr. Zimmerman may have some legal room to move regarding a wrongful death lawsuit by Trayvon Martin’s family. George Zimmerman should consider suing Trayvon Martin’s parents.”

Finegen would like for Toad's Place owner Brian Phelps to disinvite Ted Nugent. But Phelps says no. “He’s playing here no matter what happens.”

That pronouncement resulted in a visit by the United States Secret Service, which viewed the remarks as a death threat. And Ted Nugent backed off his words as he explained to the U.S. Secret Service he didn't mean anything by that little crack.

Nope. Ted Nugent is not dead or in jail.

Ted Nugent has a concert. One of many he has booked since his career took a deep dive. Ted Nugent's career was saved by "racist" shtick, that he has developed since President Obama was elected in 2008.

In fact, in the coming months, Ted Nugent will be playing nonstop across America, spreading his music and his newfound political shtick. He came out of that deep career dive, until he came up with this Obama-hating, racist shtick. Now he plays anywhere and everywhere, drawing thousands of people and making a nice living, thank you.

Yes, as I said, Ted Nugent is coming to Ridgefest at Freedom Park in Chicago Ridge on Saturday, July 27. This community event held every year in Chicago Ridge, Illinois. In the publicity for the Ridgefest event, says that Ted Nugent comes "direct from the State of the Union Address."

Ted Nugent was invited last February to President Obama's 2013 State of the Union address as the guest of conservative Tea Partier, Congressman Steve Stockman (R-TX).

That was for the optics of pitting himself as the white hero to his base and continues his racist shtick.

A reference was also made to his many controversies, including his well-known racist and Obama-hating views. In a direct right-wing appeal the publicity for Ridgefest says "Uncle Ted will be bringing his incredible guitar skills and his well-known rock anthems (and maybe a controversial viewpoint or two) for your entertainment pleasure."

The controversies surrounding Ted Nugent date back to the 2012 election when Ted Nugent said about President Obama "We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November."

I am not a fan of Mr. Nugent's music, but certainly approve of his assessments in many different areas. He on occasion exposes the failings of liberal philosophy, but I was doing it before he was born. All one has to do is look at before and after scenario's when liberals have gained power, especially in inner cities. An exception, though not the only one, is when Rudy Gulianni took over as mayor of NYC, now look and compare with other large cities where libs run the places. Look at public education, and now look at the utter failure of Obama. All Nugent is doing is echoing what responsible citizens have been doing since FDR (though Wilson set the progressive stage of deterioration), came into power and screwed things up and allowed the jews to get simply too much control of all aspects of the media. It is the Zionists that are the real enemy, and liberal toadies who have obviously lived too long, and continue to beat their effeminate chests when they are called on their false assertions. As Forrest Gump would say: ".. stupid is as stupid does. And that's all I have to say 'bout that." YOU CANNOT FIX STUPID! Liberals have a problem...a sanity problem. They always want to blame someone else. I think the entire Liberal establishment is sitting on the edge of a precipice waiting to fall (like Detroit). Their entire approach to life and reality is poison, yet rather than grow and develop real solutions (which takes, at a minimum, the identification of the source of the problem), they merely continue to blame others.

I dont know anything about Nugent's racial views. I do know that he has been a warmongering, extreme right wing opportunist. He supported the wars and the Bush regime. He is now on the anti-Obama bandwagon because he thinks it will help his "career", not because of the wars that Obama has perpetuated...I mean, he supported all this crap when Bush was in office ..why would it bother him now? He is an aging entertainer who wants to stay in the limelight. He hasn't had a hit song for THIRTY-SIX years....And yes, anon is too chickenshit to use his real name (Steve).

Speaking of dividing rhetoric, criticizing the president is racist by default still? When will it not be anymore, when his approval rating is 25% instead of 40? I dont like the Nuge btw because hes a snitch who raids houses with police for marijuana. Not really seeing the justification for branding him as a racist, which is a very derogatory term in this day and age.

Anon, you finally reveal your true colors and why you're too chickenshit to use your own name.

You want to bowhunt Ted Nugent? Send him an email to that regard and I'm sure he'll respond, maybe even fly you up to his location and you can go mano'o'mano. Maybe Ann Coulter, author of 8 best sellers will also show up? People express opinions, and maybe you have noticed that Obama is getting more criticism from those on the left. His feckless leadership is killing many Americans and other people over seas, so Ted Nugent is one of millions who dislike murderers like Obama and those of his ilk. Including the thug who looked like him if he had a son. The jury is not out, it has spoken and continues to speak.

Nugent is a musical Ann Coulter. Old, a one-trick pony, and starved for attention. If he thought eating roasted babies would get him attention, he'd do it, or at least talk about it. Yawn, yawn yawn. This is a guy who buys deer and has them put inside a fenced compound so that he can hunt them. I'd like to bowhunt Ted Nugent.

Ted noticed how Detroit went from a great American city to a third world city. WHY? Because foolish people exercised their vision. Mr. Nugent exercised his vision and those who destroy cities simply cannot understand that they are the racist busybodies.

Bill Annett July 25, 2013 2:24 pm (Pacific time)

This country gets more insane by the minute. Anon, you shy commentator, since you have all the answers (although never got asked the questions) why don't you just frame yourself with a marksmanship badge with oak leaf clusters and hang yourself next to the Lincoln Memorial.

Please, tell me about all the nice friendly lyrics of most gansta rappers... FYI, I'm getting tickets... there is only one Uncle TED!

I also have seen NOTHING that makes me think ted nugent is racist. This is what many are doing now. If you have a different opinion, then they call us racist. Obamacare will hurt america, not help. You are a racist. We should not be arming alCIAda rebels in are racist. We should not bail out the corrupt are racist. They should not arrest people without a warrant. you are racist. They should not be able to detain American citizens without due are a racist. The racist card was promoted mostly after barry soretoro was elected. If you want to talk about racism, talk to obama and the mainstream media, because THAT who is promoting racism, and many here even on salem-news are falling for it. Wake up.

1. Incredible guitar skills? He is a great entertainer, but any musician, such as myself, knows he is an average guitar player. 2. His views on the zimmerman/treyvor incident are shared by millions. I dont share his views, but I do not put him down for sharing his. 3. The new black panther party. Yesterday I heard an interview with the lead person of the original black panther party. QuadallX or something like that, cant remember, but he explains clearly how the corporations took over the original black panthers, and now are nothing more than hurting the black plight. The new black panther party is not to be trusted, especially by the blacks. 4. Anti obama views? The majority of this country have anti-obama views, he has done nothing but destroy this country and I have a hundred examples. 5. I actually thought the same as nugent, in regards to being dead if obama continues on the way he is. I have a hundred more examples why. 6. I am not a fan of ted nugent, I wish he would just shut up and work on his guitar skills and write some good songs. One thing I do agree with regarding this article, is that he is way too right wing, and he uses his fame to promote the extremism.
