Salem Police Arrest Two Armed Robbery Suspects

The suspects allegedly stole another juveniles bike at gunpoint.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Salem Police have arrested two juveniles who they say took part in an armed robbery on July 19.

Lt. Steve Birr with Salem Police says Thursday night around 8:00 p.m., detectives from the criminal investigations division and the street crimes unit, along with the Salem Police SWAT team, served a search warrant in the 4900 block of Sunnyside Road SE.

Police were looking for suspects in connection with their investigation into the armed robbery of a juvenile who had his bike stolen at gunpoint by several juveniles wearing red bandannas. Birr said nobody was injured during the robbery.

Police took two juveniles from the home and they were taken into custody on a variety of charges.

The duo was booked into the Marion County Juvenile Detention Facility.
