The 72 Virgins of Western Religious & Political Propaganda

One of the biggest zionist propaganda myths is the invention of 72 virgins as a Muslim reward for suicide. This has been repeated to the western world so often that most people accept it as fact.

Nowhere in the Qur'an does is this specific tale printed.
Nowhere in the Qur'an does is this specific tale printed.

(LONDON) - I would be obliged if any hasbara mouthpiece care to quote the Qur'anic verse that promises the "jihadists" 72 virgins

Go and read the Qur’an again cover to cover and come up with the verse of the 72 virgins, and WHEN (not if) you fail, go away and plead for forgiveness if you can bring your arrogant souls to do so.

Not only that they have lied about their own prophets, not only that they have lied and still lie about their history, not only that they have lied and still lie about their crimes, they also dare to lie about God, their Creator.

Only to humans who haven’t lost their souls:

One of the biggest zionist propaganda myths is the invention of 72 virgins as a Muslim reward for suicide. This has been repeated to the western world so often that most people accept it as fact.

The zionist-controlled media wants us to believe that the eternal victims zionist Jews cannot do anything wrong as to cause anyone to commit suicide as a means of striking back at them. Heavens no!

"The motivation for suicide bombings in occupied Palestine has nothing to do with zionists treatment of Palestinians. Instead it has to do with the evilness of the Palestinians and their religious beliefs."

This is the “bill of goods” they sell the western mind while at the same time faking most, if not all the “Islamic suicide bombings” through their expertese of false flag ops. to blame on Muslims.

It is a sick and despicable mind that feels that it has a right to attack, steal, murder and cause harm to others but if the others dare resist their oppression and fight back they are evil terrorists.

Zionists believe and behave as superiors and feel entitled and they have a right to do anything to other people and those people better not retaliate.

As a result they have done more by way of propaganda to take away the legitimate right of resistance of those who have been wronged, oppressed and demonized.

We now have this ongoing enormous propaganda campaign to make Palestinians and anyone belonging to the same religion as Palestinians, to be seen as mindless terrorists and suicide bombers with no cause other than to do evil. And, of course, vicariously receiving 72 virgins as a reward in paradise for committing suicide to kill a few Israelis.

But as they say, there is no smoke without fire; so where did the reward of 72 virgins in paradise for suicide come from? Are there any Islamic reference or teachings we can point to endorsing that?

When we look at the highest authority in Islam, the Quran, we find NOTHING in it endorsing rewards for suicide. Instead we find the strongest condemnation for those who commit suicide.

When we look at Hadiths (saying of Muhammed pbuh), which after the Quran is second in authority in Islam, we find NOTHING in the authentic Bukhari and Muslim Hadiths endorsing suicide. Instead we find strong condemnation for it.

“O ye who believe! Eat not up your property among yourselves in vanities: But let there be amongst you Traffic and trade by mutual good-will: Nor kill yourselves: for verily God hath been to you Most Merciful” (Qur’an 4:29)

Searching what Muslims refer to as “Gharib” Hadiths (weak, strange, odd, bizarre, or fabricated Hadiths, i.e not accepted by Muslims as authentic) we do find something about 72 wives but not virgins.

What we find is the following:

Sunan al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2562 says:

The Prophet Muhammad was heard saying: “The smallest reward for the people of Paradise is an abode where there are 80,000 servants and 72 wives, over which stands a dome decorated with pearls, aquamarine, and ruby, as wide as the distance from Al-Jabiyyah [a Damascus suburb] to Sana’a [Yemen]”

This is as a weak and bizarre Hadith that has no Sanad — line or sequence of narration. It has technical weaknesses in its chain of transmitters and is therefore not considered acceptable or authentic. Furthermore, there is nothing about it that says that if someone commits suicide they would get 72 virgins in paradise.

One must remember that the collection of Hadiths began at least 200 years after the death of the prophet; the Muslim scholars at the time were very vigorous and meticulous in their classification, acceptance or rejection of hadith depending on many factors which I am not going to into in this forum.

This whole idea of the 72 virgins is planted by Zionist propaganda; there is nothing in the Qur’an or in the accepted and authenticated Hadith that gives any credence or credibility to this propaganda.

Nahida Izzat is a Jerusalem-born Palestinian refugee who has lived in exile for over forty two years, after being forced to leave her homeland at the tender age of seven in 1967, during the six-day war. She has a degree in mathematics, but art is one of her favorite pastimes. She loves hand-made things and so makes dolls, cards, and most of her own clothes. She also writes poetry, participates in written dialogues and believes in building bridges, not walls.

She started writing when her friends insisted she should write about her memories, experiences and feelings as a Palestinian. When she did it all came out sounding—she was told—like poetry! So she self-published two books: I Believe in Miracles and Palestine, The True Story.

Her dream is to return back home to a free and liberated Palestine.

If you like poetry and are intrigued by the notion of helping the Palestinian people and learning more, you can purchase Nahida's books, I Believe in Miracles and Palestine, The True Story by visiting:

Virgins.. not virgins.. who cares. Men won't be able to tell the difference after waiting for so long. Tim, there's no smoke without fire. Even myths had a starting point. Same starting point that make some people to believe that the Bible says toVirgins.. not virgins.. who cares. Men won't be able to tell the difference after waiting for so long. Tim, there's no smoke without fire. Even myths had a starting point. Same starting point that make some people to believe that the Bible says to "discipline" kids till they lose consciousness. A couple weeks ago someone here suggested to me that I have no choice but to accept Islam. Where do you draw the line? Is it also because they don't have F-16's?  I'm thankful that I live in the US and don't have to accept anything unless I'm willing to. Re women, there's a disconnection between Qur'an and how women are really treated. Here's your own article. And this..."The Coalition forces are bringing the Afghan people more peace than they have known in decades." Recognize? And this.." My wife tells me I'm dreaming, but a person can hope! Burqas are bad; but veils can be very sexy!"  I agree with your wife. You ARE dreaming.

Tim King: Natalie, I just think it is overblown and Americans tend to believe anything they are told, propaganda wise.  The whole thing goes against everything I know about the faith.  Yes you can bust me for some previous writings, you rascal, but I am learning too!  Certainly cultures are sometimes worse than they should be to women, but I will halt that one right there, because it is a broad problem in the end.

We stole the land we now live in from the Indians so what's the difference? Does a couple hundred years make it OK? When the Jews are there for 150 years will they have the right? Stop being hyprocrites.

Hold your horses folks . I cant believe people have no idea where this myth came from ,and lying by ommission is unfair Nahida . I say this because I cant believe she doesnt know where this myth comes from . Look up assasin or hashshashin in the encyclopedia and we find that an ancient warlord used opium dreams to convince his fighters that they were being given a glimpse of thier heavenly reward for martyrdom for allah . A usefull tool and not unlike the christian version of heavenly reward [what a crock] . Let me get this straight ,a loving god whose first comandment is thou shalt not kill ,love others as you love yourself gives out rewards for killing people ? If there is a god [I dont think so ] I dont think he is going to be too happy with those that kill in his name . Then there is the fact that these young people are promised that thier families will be taken care of by thier leaders for thier sacrifice [if Im wrong let me know ] . As for revenge I have said it before if my family was killed I would never stop fighting in any way I could . I dont think I would kill myself but I would kill as many as I could before being killed myself ,surrender would not be an option . If I believed in god I would accept that hell would be the next stop for my actions. Anywho Im out .Peace

"Tim King: If the land that used to be Palestine wasn't stolen, there would be no suicide bombers, how is that for logic?" There are far more suicide bombers in just Iraq than in Israel, and long befoe the invasion. Saddam was constantly having to enforce barbaric interventions, so your argument is feeble at best, and wrong no matter how you want to spin it. This is a barbaric cult, whose many different interpretations create intense hostilities within the followers (different tribes) of Islam, so what do the Jews or the Americans have to do with that? ZERO. They have been killing themselves for over one thousand years. Just take Nigeria, or any country that has a sizeable Islamic population and see how they ignore the laws in that host country and go by theirs. This is happening everyday in America and CAIR is doing their best to obfuscate this by distraction, which works for those who simply keep their heads in a clueless hole. Propaganda always works best on the close-minded and the foolish believers, and of course, the arrogantly stupid.

If you would stick to the facts it was the Hamas who started this to encourage homicide bombers, not the Jews. You spin the truth with the best of them.

Tim King: If the land that used to be Palestine wasn't stolen, there would be no suicide bombers, how is that for logic?

war on terror, fail war on war on all lies to keep the military industrial complex going, to keep the banksters in control. President of Iran, true translation is, israel will wipe them own selves off the map. And if you have not noticed, after the flotilla incident especially, they may be doing just that. and how about this, sue the governor of Arizona for protecting its borders, but give money to Israel for protecting its borders..Sorry, I know I am rambling, but the lies and deception are getting out of control. Now, biden and obama are going on a major campaign for summer recovery? this is scary. My apologies to obama supporters, but come on, is he not just expanding what bush did? please, give me a break for asking the question at least. and the gulf oil spill..everyone knows big corporations cheat to make profit, that is why the federal government takes our taxes, to protect us from such. Not to protect us from some imaginary cia operative bin laden who probably died many years ago..fake tapes admitted, guarding the heroin in afghanistan admitted..yeesh, sorry salem-news/tim, just hard to take so many lies. As this article shows, the lies we have been fed, just hit a chord with me. Great article, thanks salem-news.

"Canadian Imams Fail to Decry Violent Honor Killing of Aqsa Parvez": As Canada continues to reel over the violent ‘honor killing’ of Aqsa Parvez and the country awaits a public outcry from Islamic leaders, it was met with a kick in the face from an imam representing a noted organization.
Imam Zijad Delic of the Canadian Islamic Congress said there is “nothing Islamic” in taking a human life.
He calls it a personal issue more than a cultural one and suggested perpetrators are not unlike the white, Canadian born mother who suddenly kills her children in that both are ultimately unable to deal with the challenges of domestic life.
This imam’s statement is nothing short of infuriating and insults the memory of Aqsa and other women who have suffered a brutal death in the name of so-called honor. His ghastly comment is a deliberate attempt to veil the issue through deception. The naive among us will only see Delic’s single point that taking human life is not limited to a single culture. In the case of Aqsa however, we can not afford to ignore the conspicuous dimension that caused her to be murdered: the act was perpetuated by a cultural tradition rooted in the misogynistic tenets of the Qur’an.
These teachings advocate (among other things): women as property (tilth), spanking her to control her, and the horrendous practice of child marriage, which in many instances causes death to prepubescsent young victims who are biologically ill-equipped for the consummation of these marriages. Such cases have been frequently highlighted in places like Yemen and Afghanistan. One Unicef study found that “from 2000 to 2008, the brides in 43 percent of Afghan marriages were under 18.”

Editor: Well rabbis bite the end of a baby boy's penis off with their teeth as part of a ritual, and the entire notion of circumsicion is a ridiculous barbaric practice by any account.   A recent U.S. court decision actually allows the rabbi's to continue to use their teeth when completing this barbaric mutation on their young.  Where do you draw the line?  I don't defend the idea of hurting or suppressing women, it isn't about that, people in the Mideast were made a promise by the British, have you ever heard of Lawrence of Arabia?  How about the Balfour Declaration?  And why, by the way, is this comment completely unrelated to the point of the article?  This 72 virgins myth is for the birds, I feel rotten for having believed it, I can't believe how we have the wool pulled over our eyes in this western society.  It is a tragedy.  For those who wonder, most people who strap bombs to their bodies are doing it because an occupying force; American, Israeli, British, etc., has killed or attacked members of their family.  They do it for revenge, and I won't pretend to not understand how and why that would come about.  It isn't right, but it might be fairly unavoidable.  Then people in the Arab world are denigrated for being suicide bombers.  It has to be a terrible fate, but why do they do it?  Because they don't have F-16's, that is why.

Nahida, thank you for bringing this important point forward, Americans are constantly believing the BS they are fed.
