Iran Needs to Separate Church and Government

Reason is spreading in Iran, except among the Islamic base the Ayatollah intends to use to enforce his will against protesters.

(PASO ROBLES, Calif.) - John Ensign is the latest of a list of evangelical pretenders who have made headlines for claiming to be pure when they are not. Many Catholic priests are guilty too, but for different reasons.

But the Grand Ayatollah of Iran will take the cake if he refuses to learn from the lessons of history.

Roman Catholicism is replete with examples of extremism that the Ayatollah seems determined to repeat; namely, to assume he is infallible, especially when his conduct is so transparent.

American Evangelists are no less guilty, as has been proven time and time again by conduct contrary to Logic.

Christianity had its Inquisitions, but failed to prevent the Protestant Reformation, and Rome’s frauds contributed to the Orthodox Schism earlier. Yet Rome clings to the fantasy of its purity and infallibility.

Reason is spreading in Iran, except among the Islamic base the Ayatollah intends to use to enforce his will against protesters.

He would be better served by satisfying the people’s right to enjoy their demands, and by separating religion from government.

Americans would be better served by ignoring Republican demands to get involved.
