Clackamas County Sheriff's Investigators Identify Stabbing Victim Who Remains In Critical Condition‏

Detectives have identified a suspect in this case and are actively seeking to arrest 30-year old Casey James Hatch.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Clackamas County Sheriff's Office investigators are now have identified a stabbing victim that was assaulted late last night on SE Jannsen Road, in Clackamas.

This victim is identified as 35-year old Elijah Stanley Antosh of Vancouver, Washington. Elijah Antosh remains hospitalized at Oregon Health Sciences University Hospital, in Portland, according to Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Spokesman, Det. Jim Strovink.

Investigators also indicate that as of 1:00 p.m. this afternoon, authorities at the hospital report Antosh remains in stable, yet critical condition as a result of this stabbing.

Investigators who responded to the stabbing, say Elijah Antosh was bleeding profusely as medical technicians arrived on scene. He was reportedly conscious and breathing as he was transported to Oregon Health Sciences University Hospital, in Portland.

Since being called out to investigate the stabbing, Clackamas County Sheriff's detectives have been canvassing the neighborhood throughout the night interviewing potential witnesses.

"Forensic technicians representing the Oregon State Crime Laboratory and the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office arrived at approximately 5:00 a.m. this morning to process and seize any forensic evidence collected at the scene," Strovink said. The Clackamas County Sheriff Crime Reconstruction and Forensic Technicians have also arrived to participate in this investigative process and to obtain precise measurements of this crime scene.

Strovink said, "Investigators indicate this is a very bloody scene in this parking lot, which encompasses a rather large area where the victim traveled while injured. It is not revealed at this time what may have caused this stabbing to occur, and investigators have not revealed how many wounds the victim may have received as a result of this assault." Sheriff's Detectives have identified a suspect in this case and are actively seeking to arrest 30-year old Casey James Hatch, who remains at large.

"Hatch is believed responsible for this stabbing and is presently wanted by the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, for the criminal charge of assault in the first degree."

He added, "This fugitive, Casey Hatch, should be considered armed and dangerous."

"Hatch is well acquainted with Sheriff's Office personnel and is known to frequent the Clackamas and Oregon City area."

Strovink says the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office urges anyone with information concerning this crime to contact the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office's confidential Tip Line -- by phone at 503-723-4949.

I happen to know Casey and know that he is not a violent person and wonder what happened to make him react in such a violent way. Casey if you see this >please< turn yourself in.
