Country Superstar Mark Chesnutt to Perform at Benton County FairSalem-News.comChesnutt has four platinum albums, five gold albums, 14 Number One singles and 23 Top Ten singles.
(CORVALLIS) - Show Up – Show Off – Celebrate! is the 2007 theme for the Benton County Fair and Rodeo, Aug. 1st – 5th. This year’s Fair will feature new events such as daily hypnotist shows and a petting zoo. The main stage for entertainment will feature award-winning artists. County Music Association Horizon Award winner Mark Chesnutt will open on Wednesday, Aug. 1st. Chesnutt has four platinum albums, five gold albums, 14 Number One Singles and 23 Top Ten Singles. Billboard Magazine labeled him one of Ten Most-Played Artists of the 1990's. Thursday, Aug. 2nd, Grammy Award winner, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, brings their 40th anniversary tour to Corvallis. Friday, Aug. 3rd, Grand Funk Railroad, known for their 1973 gold record, “We’re An American Band,” performs. Saturday, Aug. 4th, Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts are back performing nostalgic music from 1950’s and ‘60’s. Sunday, Aug. 5th, Pepe & The Bottle Blondes closeout the Fair performing Latin rhythms and swing with a twist. Arena Entertainment: Wednesday Aug. 1st – Tractor Pull Thursday Aug 2nd – NPRA Rodeo Friday Aug 3rd – NPRA Rodeo Saturday Aug 4th – NPRA Rodeo Sunday Aug 5th – Extreme Motorcycle Thrill Show FMX Traeger Grills will host a chicken cook-off competition. This year’s winner will take home a Traeger Grill and represent Benton County at the Oregon State Fair.
