Poem relates story of the most persecuted people on earth.

(RANGOON Mayu Press) - Since last summer, Rohingya Muslims have been the focus of an ongoing Genocide in their native Burma. Rakhine Buddhists are in charge of this country under the leadership of President Thein Sein. It has been renamed Myanmar, and has shifted from intolerance toward unruly Buddhist monks, to murder.

This is a country that until very recently, was closed to the outside world, ruled by an inflexible military junta. Even Aung San Suu Kyi has remained a complicit voice of silence, refusing to acknowledge the ethnic cleansing being carried out by her own people, against the Rohingyas and other Muslims.

As in so many other cases, Salem-News is one of if not the only U.S. based news agency that has followed this intense deadly conflict which has been compared to the events in Bosnia.

This poem, submitted to our newsroom by Mohamed Ibrahim, brings to mind the events that have left the Rohingya a stateless people, persecuted on every shore, by governments that blatantly disregard international law, specifically The Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It is a document we should all be familiar with.

Resistance against Genocide: Rohingya
Almost made termination of my people,
Would save my people sacrificing soul!

Since many thousands of years,
Our forefathers had given birth our generations to generations,
After cutting mountains and clearance many forests,
In the Rohang city,
Thus we are ethnic race Rohingya.

Our people governed Rohang many thousands of years,
Our people proved we Rohingya as a super ethnic race,
With numerous achievements in many government posts.
After, the Mogh and Burman picked  genocide against Rohingya,
If you are out of impudent then come oppositely to resist,
Hey Rohingya people otherwise u couldn’t escape from interrogation of God.

Worldly and hereafter scholars of Rohingya,
How do you escape from interrogation of God,
due to ur concealment from revelation of rights of people.

 In 1784, my land was violently confiscated and driven out,
In 1942 countless people had been massacred,
In 1977, I was made remain as bachelorhood again;
due to violently made flee my home maker,
Hey impudent people how you stay peacefully,
While you are out of concern to resist against racists.

Secondly, in 1982 the Junta Ne win deleted us from national census,
and made us so called Bengali, illegal immigrants,
In 1990, most of our priceless intellects like Diamond were detained and missed,
then instigated Racism and hatred among us.

 Eventually in 2012, so called president, KILLER THEIN SEIN;
massacred cruelly as his desire and,
proposed UNHCR chief forcefully deportation the entire Rohingya ,
on accusation as illegal immigrants.

Almost made termination of my people,

Would save my people sacrificing soul!
