(SALEM) - Show-Biz 2006, the Salem Chamber of Commerce`s biggest event of the year, took place Thursday at the State Fairgrounds. Thousands of people streamed through the doors for the five hour event where hundreds of businesses came together under one roof.

Chamber Director Mike McLaren was pleased with the turnout.

`It`s just an exciting time. We have 200 exhibitors showing off what they do in the way of services and products for Salem- and the whole area, as a matter of fact. We have lots of people pouring in, there are so many giveaways, and great food," he said. Show-Biz 2006 came packed with every imaginable kind of vendor, a good representation of the businesses in the area.

`I think it emphasizes again the need that we have for people to know what is in the Salem area and to buy in Salem," Mike McLaren added.
