Police Identify 24-Year Old Woman as Homicide Victim

They're seeking any information regarding the whereabouts and activities of Jessica Marie Long in the days and hours preceeding her murder.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Marion County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of an unresponsive person in the roadway approximately half of a mile east of State Highway 214 between Woodburn and Mt. Angel in Marion County, Oregon Wednesday night at 10:00 PM.

Police are looking for this truck

Deputies located a deceased female in the roadway shortly after receiving the report. She has been identified as 24-year old Jessica Marie Long. An autopsy was performed Thursday at the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office. Cause of death was determined to be homicide. The reported manner of death was determined to be gunshot.

Police are seeking any information regarding the whereabouts and activities of Jessica Marie Long in the days and hours preceeding her murder.

Police are also seeking any information regarding a vehicle that may be related to the murder. The pictured vehicle may have damage to a side window. Anyone with information is asked to call the Marion County Sheriff's Office tip line at (503) 540-8079.

The investigation is headed by the Marion County Sheriff's Office with the involvement of the Oregon State Police, Woodburn Police Department, Gervais Police Department, Mt. Angel Police Department, Silverton Police Department, Stayton Police Department and Keizer Police Department.

unfortunately there are pacts made between countries when it comes to arrest and extradition and mexico is a very difficult country to get to comply with the U.S. in these situations. im sure the police depts are doing everything in their power but they cant do much if mexico wont cooperate. its extremely sad. this woman and her family deserve justice and closure and i pray that they get it... even if it takes years! remember ... KARMA WILL REACH HIM and judgement day WILL come!! peace to jessica and the family, my thoughts are with you all.

it is really upsetting that the police or anyone else has done nothing. it has been 2 years and they still have not got the guy who murdered my cousin. It's like they dont care. Her mother and her children deserve and need that closure... i cant not believe that this happened.. RIP jessica i love you and miss you..
