Fast for Release Of the Gaza Convoy Ten

(GLASGOW, UK) - We shall be taking part in a fast from sunrise to sunset on Sunday the 11th November 2010 for the immediate release and return to the Libyan port of Derna of those held in Piraeus by the Greek authorities.

6 UK Nationals, 2 Irish Nationals, an Algerian and a Moroccan are held captive on the Strofades 4 after a week long ordeal.

They were abducted on Tuesday evening from the Derna port in Libya by the captain after a disagreement... over payment.

The captain headed to Piraeus from Derna and docked in Piraeus on Friday night. The group has had little access to food and non access to drinking water for the 5 days of this abduction. They were then subjected to searches and the captain tried to have the abductees charged with terrorism.

They are still being held without charge in Derna port and the captain's charge for terrorism has been dropped to one of vandalism due to someone writing "Captain is Crazy!" on the ship's whiteboard with a felt tip pen.

Saturday the Irish consul arranged snacks and toothbrushes for the abductees but return to Derna has not been arranged for all aid due to the actions of the British consul in Greece.

Remember, this convoy would not be so critical if it wasn't for those suffering severe malnutrition and deprivation of medical care due to the blockade on Gaza that has been unilaterally condemned under resolution 1860 of the United Nations Security Council.

Stop spreading lies about Gaza, there is no crisis there and never was, you have fooled too many ignorant people in the world who know nothing about Palestinians and even less about Israelis - your propaganda game will only get you into problems and to face your own Karma!!

How about you get your dates right in the story. You say the fast is for: "11th November 2011"

First, there is no 11 November in 2011.

Second, what good is a fast a year from now on an issue now underway?
