Palestinian Revengeby Daniel Johnson, Deputy Executive Editor
It’s time for the Palestinian people to take the gloves off.
(CALGARY, Alberta) - It’s time for the Palestinian people to take the gloves off. So far they’ve been letting the Israelis beat them up indiscriminately. No more.
Those who don’t remember history are doomed to repeat it, goes the old saying. The Jews were subject to genocide and ethnic cleansing with the Holocaust. Now that the Jews have the unlimited backing of the United States, they see the shoe is on the other foot. It’s their turn to subject the Palestinians to genocide and ethnic cleansing. Turn about is fair play.
Is this fair? The majority of Jewish people seem to think so.
It’s time for the Palestinians to exercise their military muscle. Instead of lobbing a few rockets into Israel, they need to call up their military reserves and, at the same time, put the Palestine navy and air force on high alert. If things look particularly dark, they might threaten to lob off a nuclear weapon or two.
The Jews are being belligerent because the Palestinians are not taking seriously their belief that the area of Israel and Palestine belongs to the Jews—God gave it to them. The only thing they lack is an actual deed to the territory. Is it in the mail? Or is there legitimate confusion as to which god made the promise? Was it Baal? Or perhaps Zoraster? There can be no peace in the Middle East until these questions are resolved.
So far the battle is incredibly one-sided thanks to American military aid. In the Jewish battle so far there have been about 50 Palestinian dead—mostly women and children—and no known Israeli dead.
If I were an American, I would be hanging my head in shame.
As a Canadian, I’m deeply ashamed of my government’s acquiescence in supporting crimes against humanity.
Note: A large percentage of Jewish people--I have no idea if it's a majority or not--are giving the Jewish people as a whole a bad name. Is it a problem of Jewish passivity, just as the Holocaust was largely possible because the vast majority of Jews willingly marched to their deaths. Is it the same mentality today that allows a minority of Jews to conduct a Holocaust of their own?
