(CHICAGO) - The program BIG SACRIFICES: A Consideration of Flawed Forensics Used to Convict Diane Downs aired this week on the "Crimes of the Century" Internet radio program.

Diane Downs and her brother James Frederickson - 2013

November 14, 2013 marks the second in the “Crimes of the Century” series on flawed forensics. Spotlighted was the high profile murder and attempted murder conviction of Diane Downs, portrayed by the late Farrah Fawcett in the movie “Small Sacrifices”.

Diane Downs was convicted in 1984 of killing her 6 year old daughter and attempting to kill her 3 year old son and 8 year old daughter to woo a lover who reportedly did not want children. However, life appears to have imitated art for Diane in that the prosecutor’s case against her seems almost as fictionalized as the corresponding book and referenced Farrah Fawcett movie.

Tracking COC listeners through the Diane Downs case facts and circumstances is Diane’s brother, Mr. James Frederickson, and COC’s own Dr. Andrew D. Jackson. Does their presentation leave you with reasonable doubt that Diane killed one and attempted to kill two of her children?

Sep is quite right. For complete understanding we must know, this is possible only under accepting governance. Malcolm F. Marsh, District Judge, Presiding, Argued and Submitted July 10, 2007, Portland, Oregon: ”Notably, Downs has not accepted responsibility for her crimes of conviction, and maintains to this day that the state authorities framed her.” Close to blackmailing verdict by Honorable Senior District Judge Malcolm F. I am sure that Oregon’s BOARDS & COMMISSIONS – ETHICS LAW SUMMARY of the September 9, 2008 Agenda has made clear: “Prohibition on using public office for financial gain – Conflict of interest declarations: When and how to declare conflicts” is fully applicable also to district attorneys and judges. The conviction of Diane Downs was built on fabricated evidence, a corrupt DA, judicial maneuvering, an impotent defence and many other disturbing facts about this conviction. Not to mention a post trial admittance that some jurors were browbeating into a 'guilty' verdict when they thought otherwise. Diane Downs did not commit this crime and it is blatantly obvious she didn't, even from 8,000 miles away.
