(SALEM) - The Cities of Salem, Albany and Dallas will be hosting a public forum for state legislators, local elected officials, legislative and local office candidates as part of the statewide City Hall Day on Thursday.

The events put state legislators directly in touch with local elected officials, who represent the same constituents, to talk about local concerns that could be affected by state legislative action.

City officials will talk about specific areas of concerns and ask incumbents and candidates about issues important to all Oregon cities such as infrastructure funding, urban renewal, water rights, land use, the 911 tax, right-of-way management, and local revenue-raising authority.

Salem City Hall Day will take place from noon to 2:00 PM at the Salem Conference Center, 200 Commercial Street.
