Oklahoma Survivors Speak Out on Human Trafficking
- 3 survivors, 3 stories, 3 positive endings

(OKLAHOMA CITY) - Oklahomans will be traveling from around the state to participate in the OKLAHOMA FREEDOM RALLY. Many will be wearing chains to symbolizing the fact that slavery still exist in the 21st century. Then at the end of the rally there will be a "Chain Breaking Ceremony."

Chong Kim was groomed, abducted and sold into the sex industry here in Oklahoma. Then taken to other cities and forced to prostitute for her traffickers. Currently a movie "Eden" is being made on her life story. The film stars actress Jamie Chung and actor Beau Bridges.

Chong will be at the Oklahoma Freedom Rally telling her story at 5:30 pm.

Jeanetta Taylor was victimized at age 12, sold as a child prostitute, held by her drug traffickers in Tulsa area motels where sex trafficking became her life. Eventually owned by Hispanic gang as their property. Hear how she got free and now works as a Social Worker helping other women and children.

Jeanetta will be telling her story in Tulsa at the Breaking Chains on Brookside event. 10:30 am

Samantha was one of Oklahoma's foster care kids, trafficked at age 14, and conditioned to become a exotic dancer in the OKC strip clubs. Finally free from the traffickers, abuse and lifestyle. She will be telling her story at the After Party in Bricktown Brewery at 8:00 pm.

Human Trafficking is a problem that exist all over the world in the forms of labor trafficking, indentured servitude, debt bondage, sex trafficking, child brides, child beggars, illegal adoptions, commercial sexual exploitation of children, child porn and intimate partner trafficking. The United States in the #1 destination of child sex trafficking of all countries in the world and Oklahoma continues to rank high on the list of trafficking issues do to our central crossroads location with three major trade routes crossing through our state: I-35, I-40 & I-44.

4:00 pm live music from Edmond band "At Long Last" - this young band recently opened for Greyson Chance.

5:00 pm Freedom Rally starts with special speakers, DJ fro KJ-103, prizes and awards, dance team from Bixby High School, survivor of sex trafficking (Chong Kim) tells her story of being victimized here in Oklahoma, and the Governor's daughter (Cristina Fallin-Bacon) leads the "Chain Breaking Ceremony."

6:00 pm live music from Tulsa band "Till Metro" - this young band has 13 year old lead vocalist (the same average age of girls that are trafficked into the sex industry here in the US) and a big sound to wrap up the rally.

7:00 pm is the after party at Bricktown Brewery with live music from "Tulsa Cold Case" band and survivor story from local girl that was victim of child sex trafficking here in OKC area.

I recommend the movie "Whistleblower," now playing and "Lilya 4-Ever' two films showing the brutality and inhumanity of sex trafficking.
