One man, later joined by two others, freed trapped cattle burning alive in the blaze.
(HARRISBURG, Ore.) -
Firefighters are on the scene of a massive three-alarm fire that started around 7:00 p.m. in Harrisburg Oregon.
The fire broke out at the R.M. Cook Farms hay barn in Harrisburg, and required the efforts of the firefighters from six additional agencies.

Hay Truck Fire Closes 99 North of Junction City

Police say the highway will be blocked until at least 4:00 today.
(JUNCTION CITY, Ore.) -
Highway 99E was closed at about 11:30 AM according to Oregon Department of Transportation officials, when a truck hauling hay started burning.
Fire crews on scene elected to allow the truck and its contents to burn due to safety concerns. Once the fire is extinguished, a tow truck will remove the remains of the truck and trailer. A detour routing traffic around the scene is in place.

Man Dies in Rollover Crash Near Junction City

OSP troopers from the Springfield Area Command office are continuing the investigation.
(JUNCTION CITY, Ore.) -
A Noti-area man died Wednesday morning when the sport utility vehicle he was a passenger in lost control on Territorial Highway west of Junction City and rolled multiple times.
Oregon State Police say this morning at approximately 7:45 AM, a 2005 Subaru sport utility vehicle driven by 29-year old Rebecca Ruth Halland of Noti, was northbound on Territorial Highway near Berg Road when she apparently lost control on a patch of ice.

State Police and DEA Move on Junction City Home Locating Several Meth Labs

(JUNCTION CITY) -
State Police say that following a nearly two-month long investigation into an individual known to be manufacturing and selling methamphetamine, detectives and DEA agents served a search warrant Saturday morning that led to the man's arrest and the discovery of four separate meth labs on the property west of Junction City.
On Saturday, August 26th at 5:00 AM, State Police detectives with the Governor's Methamphetamine Initiative Team were joined by DEA agents from Eugene, a chemist from the San Francisco DEA crime laboratory, and members of the Oregon State Police Special Weapons and Tacticts Team.
Together, they executed a state search warrant at 24751 Lavell Road which is approximately 9 miles west of Junction City in rural Lane County. The property owner, H61-year old Arley Harold Brewer was the focus of the investigation.
