Saturday Tornado Toll: 95+ Tornadoes, 5 Dead

(STATE COLLEGE, PA) - AccuWeather.com reports tornadic thunderstorms ravaged parts of the Plains Saturday and Saturday night, killing at least five people and leaving behind incredible destruction.

According to the Storm Prediction Center, over 95 tornadoes were reported from Oklahoma through Kansas, Nebraska and southern Iowa on Saturday.

Amber Alert Canceled for 16-Year Old California Girl

The girl and the suspect have not been found at this time, but their vehicle was located in San Diego.

(SANTA ANA) - The State of California issued the Amber Alert today, in regard to a girl who was reportedly abducted in Overland Park, Kansas on Thursday, 3 June 2010.

They are believed to be in the Orange County, California area based on cell phone and credit card use. It is believed that the suspect fled with the girl to avoid prosecution in Kansas.

Dr. Tiller, Reknowned Abortion Doctor Murdered in Kansas Church

After years of repeatedly being the target of protests and violence, the doctor was killed while attending church.

(WICHITA, Kansas) - Police say a Kansas doctor was killed Sunday about 10:00 a.m. while attending the Reformation Lutheran Church in Wichita, where he was a member of the congregation.

67-year old Dr. George Tiller has been at the head of longstanding controversy surrounding his practice of administering abortions. His clinic has been the site of many anti-abortion protests for decades, and the doctor was recently acquitted of several misdemeanor charges lodged against him. Tiller has been among the few U.S. physicians performing late-term abortion.

Urgent Amber Alert Issued in Kansas for Suspect and Child

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation canceled the Amber Alert after the boy was found safe in Denton Texas on Monday morning. The suspect was taken into custody at that time.

(KANSAS CITY, Kansas) - The Kansas Bureau of Investigation has canceled an Amber Alert for a boy who was abducted in Kansas city. They say the boy's mother and younger sibling were found dead Sunday morning and the suspect was considered armed and dangerous.

The suspect and the victim were apparently last Seen at 2043 S. 10th Terrace, Kansas City, Kansas. Seth Guerrero, the victim, is a 3-year old Hispanic male with brown eyes and brown hair.
