Numbers show Oregonians placed nearly 307,000 bets with wagers totaled $5.3 million. The average wager was $17.46.

With a one-dollar ticket, Charles Beatty of Prineville has won $1 million playing the multi-state game.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Charles Beatty of Prineville said he purchased the ticket because the Mega Millions jackpot continues to grow and he thought he would try his luck.

When Beatty bought his ticket for the May 24 drawing, the jackpot was at $203 million. With no jackpot winner as of Thursday morning, the Mega Millions jackpot has grown to $251 million.

The Oregon Lottery announced the winning number for the $1 million top prize in the St. Patrick's Day Raffle is 193951.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The latest jackpot winner is David Lynn of Monmouth, who won the $1 million St. Patrick's Day Raffle. Lynn purchased the ticket at the Stop and Save gas station in Rickreall.

Only 250,000 tickets were sold for the St. Patrick's Day Raffle, making it the Oregon Lottery game with the best odds to win $1 million.

(SALEM ,Ore.) - The Oregon Lottery’s quarterly transfer of $164.3 million to the State’s Economic Development Fund on January 28th 2008, was the third largest ever since the Lottery began selling tickets in 1985.

The largest quarterly transfer, $208.7 million, was recorded for the quarter ending September 2007. The second largest transfer of $167.7 million was for the quarter ending in September 2006.

Last November, the Oregon Lottery, with help from the Oregon Department of Education, invited K-12 public schools to gamble on Scratch-it for Schools. This month, the Lottery picked 75 applicants to play the game.

(SPRINGFILED, Ore.) - An investigation by Oregon State Police Lottery Security Section detectives has led to the arrest of a Springfield man who allegedly stole a winning $50,000 scratch-it ticket from the victim at a Springfield restaurant. The suspect was arrested when he came to lottery headquarters to claim the $50,000 prize.

Police were contacted by the victim, a 37-year old Kooskia, Idaho resident, on December 26th, reporting the theft that day of a winning Oregon Lottery scratch-it ticket.
