OSP Traffic Stop Leads to Seizure Of 2.5 Lbs. of Crystal Methamphetamine - I-5 Jackson County

An OSP traffic stop on Interstate 5 northbound at mile point 14 Monday morning at approximately 7:30 a.m. led to a Federal Way, Washington resident being charged with Possession/Delivery and Manufacture of a Controlled Substance-Crystal Methamphetamine.
Police report the seizure of approximately (2.5) pounds of pure Crystal Methamphetamine on Interstate 5 in the Ashland area.

West Linn Police arrested Santera Evelyn Beavis and her ex-husband, Bradley Christian Beavis of Salem, after a traffic stop reveals evidence of car break-ins and drug possession.
An officer stopped the car after learning that the owner had an arrest warrant, he turned around to catch up to the car, and it began to drive erratically.

Man Arrested on Drug and Child Endangerment Charges in Salem

(SALEM, Ore.) -
A 29-year old Salem man was arrested on October 7th after officers located Heroin, Methamphetamine, evidence of illegal narcotics distribution and firearms in his house. He was charged with a number of drug and child endangerment-related charges and booked into the Marion County Jail.
The incident began early in the morning on October 7th when patrol officers were called to 3831 Homestead Rd S regarding a domestic disturbance. While officers were investigating this incident, they located Marijuana in various parts of the house, loaded firearms and evidence of other narcotics. They also found a two-year old child sleeping in the residence close to where loaded firearms and narcotics were located.

Methamphetamine Found In Yamhill County Traffic Stop

(YAMHILL, Ore.) -
On October 6th The Yamhill County Interagency Narcotics Team (YCINT) seized approximately 3 ounces of methamphetamine from a man with a lengthy history involving drugs.
James Junior Valencia, 32, of Dayton was the passenger of a vehicle stopped by patrol deputies on Hwy. 240 near Williamson Road. The stop happened at the request of YCINT detectives after developing probable cause.

Search Warrant Leads to Methamphetamine Arrest in West Salem

detectives seized approximately 2 ounces of methamphetamine, marijuana, cash, and paraphernalia

On October 5, 2010 the Yamhill County Interagency Narcotics Team (YCINT) executed a search warrant at a West Salem apartment after discovering methamphetamine was being sold from the location. The investigation was made a priority when it was discovered a young child also lived at the residence and that the location was located directly next door to a grade school.

Group gains victories by taking their complaints about meth supplies right to the source.
(STAYTON, Ore.) -
Two convenience stores owned by Johal Sarbjit in Stayton, have been selling bongs, Hookahs, screens for pipes as well as pipes, scales and plastic bags which have been known to store, sell and distribute meth.
This is the second time METH-BUSTERS, a group of concerned citizens has confronted one of the stores.

House Passes Bill Combating Metal Theft

Metal theft has become a major threat to public safety, business and agriculture.
(SALEM, Ore.) -
The Oregon House on Thursday unanimously passed legislation to combat metal theft, completing a three-year process and a bipartisan effort to stem the growth in metal theft. SB 570 imposes new fines and penalties on metal thieves and improves the ability of the state’s law enforcement community to monitor transactions.
State Rep. Brent Barton (D-Clackamas) and State Rep. Andy Olson (R-Albany) were the House participants in a bicameral work group that came up with the final agreement.
