Portland Rockers Shocked as KUFO 101.1 FM is No More

For over two decades, people have depended on KUFO for good, solid rock.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - KUFO The rockin clock has stopped ticking for KUFO 101.1 FM in Portland Oregon. A standard for 21 years, the loyal northwest rockers will be on their way to another place on the dial to find their favorite morning show jocks, Kidd Chris and Porkchop who have been replaced with The Glenn Beck Program and The Lars Larson Show.

That's right, now listeners will have to adjust themselves for talk radio should they keep that button programmed to 101.1, as KXL took that spot mid-morning March 15th.

Community Radio Station Manager Marries On The Air

(STAYTON, Ore.) - On October 18, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. hundreds of listeners heard Ken Cartwright and Jan Castillo exchange vows and become husband and wife on local community radio station AM 1620 KENC.

As Ken and Jan considered how they were going to get their family and friends to their wedding conveniently and because they were scattered all over the United States, Ken jokingly suggested they send out invitations to have them tune into his radio station that they stream.
