Tigard Police Investigating Early Morning Shooting

Police say they are still gathering evidence and witness accounts.

(TIGARD) - Shooting investigation Tigard Police are presently investigating a reported shooting which occurred early this morning at The Birches Apartments located 11495 SW Greenburg Rd in Tigard.

Witness statements indicate at about 1:10 a.m. while inside an apartment unit, a male in his 20s was shot.

String of Vandalism Overnight in Tigard

Tigard Police are asking the help of the community to report anything which may be helpful to locate the suspects

(TIGARD, Ore.) - Many Tigard residents woke up to find either their vehicle or home vandalized overnight. Tigard Police received the first call of 14 subsequent reports at about 5:00 am Sunday morning.

A Tigard resident living along Omara St. near 97th was awakened by the sound of breaking glass. The caller stated he found shattered glass in his kitchen caused by a can of spray paint which was thrown through the window. Police seized the can as evidence.

Stolen Vehicle Suspect Eludes Tigard Police Later Caught

(TIGARD, Ore.) - Chad Curtis Loynachan of Tigard At about 11:15 p.m. last night, a Tigard police officer observed a suspicious vehicle (a early 90's Ford Mustang 5.0) near the intersection of SW Pacific Highway and Walnut St. which was reported stolen.

The officer along with another Tigard Police officer attempted to stop the vehicle but the suspect refused to stop and sped off north on Pacific Hwy. The officers continued to follow the vehicle which snaked through multiple Tigard neighborhoods.

Officer Involved Shooting in Tigard

(TIGARD, Ore.) - Shooting investigation logo On Thursday, October 14, 2010 at approximately 5:30 pm, two Tigard Police Officers were completing a report while seated in their patrol vehicle. The vehicle was parked in a lot at the Washington Square Mall in Tigard near the Sears store.

The officers began to observe what appeared to be a "road-rage" incident whereby a suspect began to ram another vehicle. The officers quickly exited their patrol vehicle in efforts to contact the suspect. During their attempts, the suspect fled in his vehicle and while doing so, struck additional vehicles.

Tigard Police has documented ten reports so far with the potential for additional discoveries of vandalism as the day progresses.

Tigard police take lead to help make rental properties safe

The program helps rental property managers, owners and landlords maintain a safe and attractive property

(TIGARD, Ore.) - West Side Crime Prevention logo The Westside Crime Prevention Coalition (WCPC) will present a training opportunity to rental property owners and managers on Wednesday, November 3, 2010. John Campbell will present the eight-hour training session titled "Keeping Illegal Activity Off Rental Properties" at the Beaverton City Library, 12375 SW 5th Street in Beaverton. It will begin at 8:30AM and continue until 4:30PM in the first floor conference center. The cost is $35.00 which includes a continental breakfast, lunch and a training manual.

The training curriculum is adapted from a nationally recognized program developed by Campbell. The need for this training came to mind after Campbell was embattled in his own neighborhood in a struggle with criminals seemingly overtaking the area. The idea was then developed specifically for rental properties in efforts to enhance their safety and create more desirable neighborhoods.

Police Investigating Death of Woman After Parking Lot Mishap

An elderly woman died after being knocked over by a vehicle in a parking lot. Police say there are no criminal circumstances, but they are investigating.

(TIGARD, Ore.) - Death investigation The Tigard Police Traffic Unit is investigating the death of a 90 year-old Tigard area woman. Police are working to determine if the victim died as a result of being struck while walking as a vehicle backed from a parking spot.

The incident occurred at the Tigard Towne Square shopping center located at 16200 SW Pacific Highway in Tigard on July 29th at approximately 1:45 pm.

(TIGARD, Ore.) - Maelissa Ruth Larson has been missing since Friday, May 7th, 2010, when she failed to return home. Tigard Police say they are concerned about the welfare of an 18-year old woman who is missing, and considered endangered.

Maelissa Ruth Larson has been missing since Friday, May 7th, 2010, when she failed to return home. She was last seen after possibly being excluded from a Tri Max train for not paying fare in Beaverton.

Man Arrested for Murder of Naturopathic Doctor

The suspect is reported to have been with the victim the day of the murder.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - 32-year old Brian Daniel Bement Police say last Sunday, Dr. David Greenspan was found by deputies in his car dead from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
