Marion County officials say the school needs to pay a $4900.00 fee for request approval; this is outrageous since the landlord has already paid the fee.

NW Kids Club Forced to Close Doors by End of June

An important facility for local kids will close and they need the community's help to relocate.

(SALEM, Ore.) - NW Kids Club The NW Kids Club, otherwise known as the Indoor Playground, has been a wonderful asset to children and parents in the Salem-Keizer area for 3 years.

But the owners received a letter from their landlord informing that they would not renew the facility's lease, and it leaves the place in quite a fix.

Gaza Farmers Rally in Protest of Israel`s Buffer Zone

In recent years, many farmers have been killed, injured and abducted while working in their fields.

(GAZA CITY) - Salem-News.com Residents and activists organized a peaceful demonstration to protest the so-called 'buffer zone' along the entire northern and eastern Gaza border with Israel.

THe demonstrators, mostly farmers, carried Palestinian flags and marched toward the eastern border area, where they were headed off by the Israeli army.

Mother`s Day Victory for Ciudad Juarez Women

Among the latest victims was 18-year old Esmeralda Bretado Perez, 7 months pregnant, killed May 4 on a soccer field.

(CIUDAD, Juarez) - Crosses like this represent the vast number of women who have died at the hands of abusers in Juarez, Mexico. On the eve of Mother’s Day 2010, relatives of women murdered in Ciudad Juarez and their allies chalked up another victory on the international front.

By a vote of 359 to 235, with 17 abstentions, the European Parliament approved an amendment to its strategic plan for Latin American relationships that cites an international court verdict on the Ciudad Juarez femicides.

Salem Carousel`s `Lady Camoolot` Adopted by Rickreall Dairy

The ornamental Carousel landmark ‘moooved’ down to Salem sometime in 2004.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Lady Camoolot An adoption – of sorts – took place in in Salem, Oregon Friday.

One of the Carousel’s artworks, Lady Camoolot, a fine bejeweled bovine, was transported via truck and trailer, from Salem’s Riverfront Carousel, out to live at the Rickreall Dairy.

Settlers Attack Israeli Soldiers, Wounding One

Rabbis for a Human Rights organization warned that the settlers are escalating their attacks and demanded the Israeli army to provide immediate protection to the Palestinian villages.

(JERUSALEM IMEMC & Agencies) - Israeli settlers Israeli sources reported that a group of settlers of the Yitzhar illegal settlement, attacked several soldiers and lightly wounded one soldiers Thursday.

The settlers were on their way to attack a Palestinian village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and the army arrived at the scene in an attempt to stop them.
