Judge orders Boston College to hand over IRA tapes

Boston College (BC) has been ordered by US district court judge William G. Young to hand over selected contents from its controversial Northern Ireland oral history project.
Before deciding whether or not the tapes should be passed by the US Government to British authorities, however, the judge will review the transcripts in question.

(DUBLIN) -
A new Quarterly Economic Commentary report published by the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) in Ireland estimates that with the eurozone crisis continuing to cast a shadow over any possible Irish economic recovery, tens of thousands will continue to emigrate from the country in 2012.
“The financial crisis currently gripping the eurozone, coupled with tightening fiscal policy across the region, are likely to send the eurozone back into recession,” the report reads.

Freedom Waves to Gaza Boarded by Israeli Military

The Israeli military reported that the navy has been ordered by IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz to board the ships after “attempts to contact them failed.”
(GAZA CITY) -
Canadian and Irish ships sailing with Freedom Waves to Gaza have been illegally boarded by the Israeli military in international waters a short while ago.
The Israeli military stated that “Upon arrival of the vessels at the Ashdod port, the activists will be transferred to the custody of the Israel Police and immigration authorities in the Ministry of Interior”.
