A 911 call came in of 3 people stranded on the Clackamas River up stream from the confluence of the Collawash River east of Estacada.

Police Officer Rescues Dog Trapped for 5 DaysSalem-News.com
The area was very rocky, and Sampson was trapped in the rocks, unable to get out on its own. It appears the dog had been trapped down there for several days.
Earlier today, Damascus Police Officer Jerry Rippe rescued a trapped dog named Sampson -- a 5-year-old lab mix -- near Carver.

Today at 12:46 p.m. it was reported to Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Deputies that two, adult Golden Retriever dogs had been swept away by a landslide that carried the animals an estimated 175 ft. down to the base of a cliff in Eagle Creek.
