Salem Police Pursuit Ends in Crash (VIDEO)

The suspect and others were transported from the scene of the crash.

(SALEM) - Salem-News.com Shortly before 1:00 a,m, on 3-29-14 a Salem Police officer attempted to stop a silver sedan on Coral Ave NE when the driver reportedly failed to yield and turned west on Sunnyview Road, when the vehicle reached the intersection at Hawthorne, it collided with a white SUV.

A young male fled the suspect vehicle west then south into a nearby mobile home park, Police on scene started a dog track and ultimately found the suspect hiding in an apartment just one block south of the crash scene.

Have You Seen Me? Salem Woman Missing

UPDATE: April Kondash has been located, and is safe.

(SALEM) - April Harden 42-year old April Harden Kondash has been listed as a Missing Person in Salem, Oregon. She left a message on facebook that lead family and friends to believe she is depressed and may be at risk.

This is very out of the ordinary, and concern is increasing.

She may be driving a white 4-door 2000 Pontiac Sunfire license XBG 787, with the center of the hubcaps missing. She has a bumper sticker in the back window that says, "Well behaved women rarely make history".

April is a merchandiser for Coremark and a doll ("Salem Blondie") for the Modified Dolls Oregon Chapter.

Please share this information and let authorities know if you see April Harden or the vehicle.

Salem Police Conduct Sweep to Enhance Victim Safety

Officers and deputies made unannounced visits to locations where court release agreements restricted the presence of specific domestic violence offenders.

(SALEM) - Police lights The Salem Police Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT) teamed up with deputies from the Marion County Sheriff's Office Parole and Probation Division on the evening of March 21 to conduct a domestic violence offender compliance and victim safety sweep.

Eight Salem police officers and a Salem Police domestic violence victim advocate partnered with nine Marion County deputies to conduct the release agreement compliance sweep of known domestic violence offenders.

The Marine Board sells both an annual and two-year Tyvek tags for paddle craft and can be purchased through the Marine Board’s office in Salem or online through the Marine Board’s new storefront

(SALEM OR) - "So far so good, but we’ve got a long way to go,” state officials say about the on-going efforts to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species and keeping new ones from entering the state.

Even key legislators such as Representative Caddy McKeown see the progress being made and see that more needs to be done to protect our waterways.

That’s why the Marine Board and Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) work in tandem to administer the statewide Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Prevention Program, where the Marine Board administers the financial aspects and ODFW implements statewide inspection stations.

Salem Puppy Sales Laws Should Remain Open

I personally have found excellent homes for several puppies on Salem city sidewalks legally and safely. I can assure you that these puppies were not abused or treated cruelly in any way.

(SALEM) - Puppy for sale I am writing concerning an article that I recently read in the Statesman Journal newspaper on March 10th concerning the sale of puppies on the public right of way.

The first thing that concerns me is that a dozen emails received by city councilman Chuck Bennett can affect the lives of thousands of Salem residents in such a negative way.

BREAKING NEWS: Robbery at old Roth`s Supermarket in Keizer

The abandoned store has an active ATM in a small room on the front of the building.

(SALEM) - police line Keizer Police are on the scene of a reported robbery at the empty building that was Roth's Supermarket on the corner of River Road and Chemawa.

One of the two Brink's security team allegedly called police from the truck, and said the other partner was inside the "ATM room" with a person wearing a black mask. He was apparently encountered by the masked man and then entered the ATM room, where he or they remain at this time. There have been reports of a gun being involved, that has not been confirmed.
