One Man Shot, Police Seek Shooter

The Suspect is described as a Hispanic male, early 20's, approximately 5'8" in height and stocky build.

(SALEM OR) - Police car One man is shot in the arm tonight when he was walking along Silverton Rd NE in Salem.

Police say the suspect fired multiple shots at the victim before fleeing the scene in the sedan which was last seen traveling westbound on Silverton Rd NE.

Two Men Indicted for Murder

Silverton Police Department Responded to a Report of a Deceased Male, The Death Was Ruled Suspicious

(SALEM OR) - Michael Dean McKinley Today a Marion County Grand Jury issued indictments charging Uriah Michael Dean McKinley, 22, and Andrew James Slover, 23, with the death of Jeffrey Edward Lamoreaux, 30.

On December 2, 2013, at 1704, the Silverton Police Department responded to a report of a deceased male inside the home at 218 Olson Road, Silverton, Oregon. Upon further investigation, the death was ruled suspicious.

(PORTLAND, OR) - Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber State tax giveaways for business are reaching a fever pitch in the Pacific Northwest. Washington lawmakers last month enacted an $8.7 billion “mega-deal” package of state and local tax breaks designed to keep the state’s aerospace industry, dominated by Boeing, in the state.

The sheer scale of the package, which is designed to last until 2040, has prompted some to wonder whether the time has finally come to end the tax-incentive arms race between the states.

Deputy Shot Near Salem, Suspect In Custody

Salem Police, who have taken over the investigation, determined that a Silverton Police Officer also fired his weapon during the incident.

(SALEM OR) - Deputy Jim Buchholz, a 9 year veteran with the Marion County Sheriff's Office. On Friday December 6th at approximately 9:00 a.m. the Silverton Police Department began a pursuit of a stolen vehicle. This pursuit left the city of Silverton heading south into a rural portion of Marion County.

The sheriff's office was requested for assistance and responded to the general area where this incident took place. Prior to the sheriff's office arrival the pursuit was terminated by Silverton after they lost sight of the vehicle.

A shooting reportedly took place at a Christmas tree farm. One suspect is reportedly shot and one is at large.

(SALEM) - Police tape The Marion County Sheriff's Office is currently on scene and engaged in a very high risk tactical operation in the area of 117th and Sunnyview Road NE. The Sheriff's Office is being assisted by numerous agencies from inside of Marion County.

"We can confirm that multiple shots have been fired and one deputy has been injured. Although there is no immediate threat to the public we are encouraging neighbors in the area to remain indoors."
